Haha, thats great news. But what an odd time to be starting a show at? Whats the reason for this? At least you've got an extra half hour to warm up now.
The rest of the news:
Radio 1 revamps schedule with even more Moyles!• Chris Moyles gets extra half hour
• Kelly Osbourne joins Radio 1
• Friday nights dedicated to dance music genres - Saturday nights dedicated to black music genres

• Friday and Saturday evenings become “the best club flyer in the world” dedicated to dance music genres (Fridays) and black music genres (Saturdays)
In further news, more brand new shows are being introduced:
• Nihal will host the weekend breakfast show
• New DJ Greg James takes over the prestigious early breakfast slot, having been plucked from student radio

Sounds interesting, good for Nihal especially, I've really started to like the guy over the past year or so (and I usually prefer shows with a bit more banter like Moyles and Mills). Good luck to JK and Joel too.
Shame they couldn't add the extra half hour on the end and run up to 10.30 instead of 10 mind you.

What does that mean for Joce?
She'll probably produce Greg James
Excellent news for Greg James. He's a really good presenter.
She'll probably produce Greg James
Does that mean, she'll become a f/t producer and no longer be involved with the Chris Moyles Show? Not that she featured often,

Great news for moyles but im saddened to hear jk and joel leaving is this cause of the tv career they have embarked on
and plus how the heck is moyles going to cope with getting up even more early lol
i think you find that maybe he'll get a better wage at the end of each month ? ;)

Is it just me or do these sound like names you'd expect the characters to have in a Pokemon cartoon or something like that?

They lose JK and Joel but keep Edith Bowman?
No justice in the world.

I think thats great news! Although it does mean setting my alarm even earlier in the morning. Sad about JK and Joel. I didn't really listen to them a lot, but when I did I though they were great. Can't wait to hear what new features will come in to the show to fill up that extra half hour....

Actually, Moyles coming on earlier is better. Thats the time I'd normally wake up.
Ugh, i was hoping he was on till 10.30 rather than starting at 6.30.
Sorry, im not that dedicated, im afraid i will still be staying n bed until i absolutely HAVE to get up!
Great news fro Greg James. Not that i ever hear the early breakfast show, but he's a great DJ. (And really quite fit too...)

Exactly what i was thinking
Wow!, this is great news, I'll follow everyone else and say that having it on the end would have been better because of me not wanting to wake up at 6:30 but I always listen again anyway - will take me longer though, I hope he keeps with the same number of songs that he had for 3 hours - even more chat :D. not too fussed on jk and joel so that doesnt matter to me, I like the sounds of ferne and reggie doing the chart though :). I think that some jingles will have to be made for dave and the rest of the team just in case moyles isnt in - this'll add to the comedy, either that or 'Hi, its chris moyles here, this is meant to be the beginning of my show but I've evidently slept in a bit too much so I appologise, normal service will be resumed shortly but please enjoy the chris moyles show with any of the rest of the team that are in ... yours sincerly Chris Moyles'. Either way, I cant wait for this extra time - might make it easier for having guests in?, considering they normally have to leave to go to another interview somewhere else so they could be on earlier? if that makes sense.
Basically - I love the idea of more moyles but then again, who (on here) wouldnt?

Great news :) Extra at the beginning or end makes no difference for me, usually crawling up the M6/M74 so it's all good.
Just means i'll need to remember to eject the CD's that bit earlier, Moyles is the only thing I listen to on Radio1. I would like to echo gbm above with the more chat, less music option.

Awww man, I'm gutted JK and Joel are going! I set my alarm for 6.30 every morning to listen to the last half an hour of their show! I'm happy that Chris will get an extra half hour, but I'll be sorry to see JK and Joel go. :-(
Good luck to Greg, he's done well for himself.

I have no issue with Moyles being on earlier. I hardly ever listen live unless I'm on my way to Uni and always make full use of the Listen Again online feature. Suits me just fine.
if it is we might as well say goodbye to fern and reggie
Fingers crossed.

Yeah - mark n lard to come back to radio1!
Its great news that the show is starting earlier, as I only get to listen until 7:30, so it means that I get to hear a whole hour.......not that I dont listen again when I get home, lol
I've heard every current show on radio 1 at least once, but have NEVER listened to the Trophy Twins. I don;t even know who they are.

I'll vote for that. When she starts a link, I rarely make it to her 3rd word before I hit the CD button :081:
Whats all this about now aiming radio 1 to the "teenagers"?
Its a poor move, in my eyes, if its true. Anything that features "teen sunday" is a poor move. I only see it working if they dont make it as patronising as it already sounds.
I liked Radio 1 how it was :( I hate change when it happens. In my opinion the whole black music thing should stay to one extra, hence why it was created. Radio 1's more Indie, Dance, Pop and Chart. The target audience worked well too. I hope radio 1 doesn't dumb down.

it sounds dumb; not only will teenagers not listen if it sounds that patronising but people who aren't teenagers won't listen either.

Thats good news for Chris's show. I can see 6.30 - 7 sometimes becoming the Dave , Dom and Carrie show sometimes, when Mr.M overlays.
