I was at a little MS seminar on Vista for IT professionals yesterday (exciting life I lead hu?) and they were plugging the hell out of it at every opportunity. I'll pick it up on my way home I think.

Have you played much multiplayer yet Aled? as that's what the game is really about.

I take it you haven't read the news of people dumping Vista for XP then? Or companies like Dell and Dabs having to bring back lines of XP computers because of the numerous complaints with Vista?

I doubt it, Halo was never really my sort of game.

Heard about it? I'm among them, I gave a presentation months ago on why schools shouldn't even consider a switch to Vista until at least the release of sp1, and have downgraded every new laptop we've had to XP, but it's inevitable that it will be implemented eventually so I have to be prepared.

I've been suggesting the same to be honest, if people are wanting to upgrade their computer I've suggested either that they try and get another with XP on, or wait until SP1 (although in some cases I've suggested SP2, and in one I suggested SP6, but that was a joke...mostly).

I'm not entirely convinced though that Vista will replace XP as the majority, although with the time it takes MS to come with a new OS, I suppose anythings possible. XP is just too good (in relative terms) for Vista's subtle improvements (and many problems) to overcome it's predecessor; MS is currently it's own worst enemy (if you discount the European courts of course).

I just think once companies start getting Server 2008 (which does look pretty cool I have to admit) it's bound to happen, Plus as users start getting their OEM machines at home with Vista on, they start to want it at work.

There are some great parts to Vista both at home and in business (not being HAL dependant especially is a great feature for me) but it has a lot of issues to work out first.

As for their next OS, I would expect the development time for that to be even longer than Vistas was.

I got it today, been runniung around in the campaigne with a mate. I can't get over how amazing it looks, until a person walks into shot. The people are modeled TERRIBLY! Its really dissapointing actually when you compare it to everything else thats on screen!

i did get it but for my bro as i gave him my most of my gameing stuff like my xbox 360 and my wii but i will be being new ones so i sould get all up and runing agin^^

I finished it last night, I played through the whole game with a mate on Xbox Live, the finale was just amazing I have to say, So brilliantly fun, dunno what it'd be like with just one person. But with two, it was epic and just funny!

No, annoyingly I didn't, but I've read all about what does come after the credits.

That warthog drive was just incredible, I couldn't stop laughing at how funny it was with my mate just being flung about dodging explosions. It was REALY good, the music was ace too. Very Epic.

That level where there were CONSTANT alien things (can't remember their names) landing was just manic, I've no idea how many times we tried to climb to the top of that bastard tower with all them things springing up!!!! It drove me mad.
