The Chris Moyles Show will be off on their hols between October 1st - and October the 12th.

When we come back for our last 'term' of 2007 bigger and better with more audience, who listen longer and more time in the show to do things.

What would you like to see?

What would you like to make it past the holidays?
What do you hope will be killed off (at least one thing's going)
What would you like us to bring back?

We have an OB in 3 days after we come back - where would you like it to be (except where you live!)

Bring back Viaduct, Aled!!!

What would you like to see?
I'd like to see more use of the mini site. All that ever goes on it is the odd blogs or guest pictures. Like Scott Mills, he uses his for links of stuff he talks about on the show, so id like to see that used more often.

What would you like to make it past the holidays?
Actually, with all this radio 1 established stuff, id like it if even one day a week, the golden hour was brought back. You do have space for it afterall, with the extra half hour. It would be a nice way to finish off the week.

What do you hope will be killed off (at least one thing's going)
Monday night pub quiz
Birthday Corner

What would you like us to bring back?
Ive been hearing a lot of this viaduct thing, and it sounds good, so bring that back. I enjoyed Sting Ring too, even if no one else did. And Yesterdays weather of course.

We have an OB in 3 days after we come back - where would you like it to be (except where you live!)
Somewhere youve never been before. You's keep going back to Newquay, or Bristol. You never do them in Ireland, i think thatd be a nice change. Or somewhere quite remote, to ensure (hopefully) its full of local people. (so my geography of england isnt great, so i cant make suggestions on this one).

Don't get rid of Monday Night Pub Quiz! That's great. Yeah I agree w/Birthday Corner, too. Sting Ring was also funny. That could come back. I'm actually missing Carpark Catchphrase, too.

Yeah, get rid of Birthday Corner because it is just dribble. I enjoy the pub quiz, so keep that!!
So looking forward to the extra half hour
How about 'Aleds Takeover' where you get to play 15-30mins like you did on your birthday?! That would be fun!!
I would like some more wacky games that only you guys could amuse us with, more morning banter.
DONT get rid of the cheesy song, i love that so much. If it wasn't for that i would be grumpy in the mornings, we all sing it on the bus on the way into work!

Nic

We've been to both Newquay and Bristol once.

We've been to Northern Ireland twice! lol :)
Derry and Belfast.

We'll definitely be going to somewhere we've not been before

I second that! I know we are all a little bit biased on this site, but still, it would be great!

* What would you like to see?

Well it's radio so there's not much to see :P , more podcasts with less editing (like when you flash back and forward between features) would be nice. less music, more banter/guests . I also think that you guys should get someone to film the show and put some of the funny stuff online as I sometimes wonder how you're all reacting to certain things that happen.

What would you like to make it past the holidays?

Carries cat.

What do you hope will be killed off (at least one thing's going)

Well gotta be honest, I didn't really think using Robs voice on the pub quiz worked although it's a bit early to say to kill that off. I love ramble, but I'm a little bored of the nose flute/theme tunes. That hello goodbye thing seemed a little pointless too.

What would you like us to bring back?

Well I don't think you should bring back carpark catchphrase, I could live with celebrity tarzan - but just bring back or bring in some sort of game that allows Chris to have some banter with the listeners as those were often some of the funniest parts of the show.

Bring back Longman!

Maybe make "Get Dom On It" a regular feature where Dom has to find out the answer to some ridiculous question or other and get an interview with an expert on the subject within an hour or something?

We have an OB in 3 days after we come back - where would you like it to be (except where you live!)

Newcastle, you never come this far north! (that i remember). If not then maybe some random village somewhere live from the local pub.

Nic

ooh get dom on it, yeh that's funny.
i think i am just going to read this thread and agree with other people rather than coming up with anything myself, hehe *rolls eyes*

Ugh, please, not Celebrity Tarzan... I didn't like it much. It just gave me some unpleasant mental images, that's all :p

But yeah, it would be cool to have even more of the talk and less of the music, because it always wakes me up!

Ajayrious

What would you like to see?

Find something to do with the fit car park catchphrase girl Katie, she has a very sexy voice, would be great to wake up to every morning lol. On a serious note i have no idea. More music that isnt on the radio 1 playlist would be nice.

What would you like to make it past the holidays?

Since someone said they would like it killed off, i would definately like the pub quiz to stay, i love the music, and love playing along with it, and next term (if i remember) i want to keep my scores from week to week and see how i do over the entire term compared to the team. I would also like stuff like Tedious Link and Ramble to stay. I hope the Brand New Cheesey Song stays aswell, although Chris should play some of the older variations aswell as the newer ones now and again. And the golden hour (or golden half hour maybe)

What do you hope will be killed off (at least one thing's going)

Birthday corner, you started this the week after my birthday  , so was not best pleased. and it is generally a bit rubbish (although i think thats kinda the point). I assume that Who knows Dom, will also be gone, otherwise its going to be murder getting all those "Who know..." bits done. And i know you havent done it for a while, but Car Park catchphrase has gotten boring again.

What would you like us to bring back?

Clasical Class (with different classical music for every day),

Where would you like us to go on our OB?

Somewhere Chris doesnt want to go.

Management !! they really need to get with the times. Giving the team warnings over harmless stuff a couple of weeks ago was ridiculous.
Music I know it'll never happen but to hear a British version of the Howard Stern show would be awesome. I don't mean the risque side of Sterns show, that is only a small part of his act.

What would you like us to bring back?
Buzz on/off

This. I know Stern is a huge influence on Moyles and I'd like to see more of that to shine through. UK radio needs a kick in the teeth and Moyles could be the guy to do it moreso than he is right now. Stop being the semi-famous guy who is on top of the world, and start being the angsty "I want more" not-afraid-to-take-on-the-world soldier. People love underdogs and the more that Moyles comes across as a big player who still has obstacles to face (BBC management, Wogan still at #1, etc), the better it'll be. Make a big deal about being #2 because it'll mean so much more when you finally defeat him :081:

Oxford would be a fab place for an OB!

Us Midlanders got missed out on the Rallyoke.

Plus Chris has already checked out the hotel accomodation (the Prison).

What should stay - def the Golden Hour always have and always will love it.

Not keen on Who knows Dom!

Hi there!

What would you like to see?
A daily podcast featuring banter. I find the weekly podcast quite weak.

What would you like to make it past the holidays?
JK and Joel... sigh.

What do you hope will be killed off (at least one thing's going)
Rob DJ's Monday Night Pub Quiz. Even worse now there's clips of Rob himself on it. Or Tedious Link. Does anyone really care how we get to the next song, people just want to hear a classic track.

What would you like us to bring back?
Buzz Off. Or something that is based around a classic track that isn't tedious link.

We have an OB in 3 days after we come back - where would you like it to be (except where you live!)
Ipswich. Seems underrated.

I understand the appeal of the golden hour, but considering there's only 40 years of Radio 1, you'd be repeating yourself within a month or so.

handyandy88
23-09-2007, 11:28 PM
Golden Hour can be Golden Half hour (or 25 mins after the news at half 9)... and keep ramble!

I want to see an OB in Stoke on Trent! (cos i'm in uni there) lol. Keep Tedious Link.. its funny.

Theres BBC resources in Staffordshire Uni, you can do the show there ;-)

What would you like to see?
More frequent 'Fun Fridays' (I think that's what you called it before, something along those lines anyway) like you've occasionally done before when you've been producing a show. I enjoy the randomness that can be generated by asking the team to come up with their own little games/features.

What would you like to make it past the holidays?
I honestly can't think of anything that I would be too distraught about losing at the moment.

What do you hope will be killed off (at least one thing's going)
Rob DJ's Monday Night Pub Quiz. Even worse now there's clips of Rob himself on it.

I couldn't agree more. I've always been a hater of the quiz, and now I have even more reason to dislike it. I didn't think it could possibly be made any worse of a feature, but the introduction of Rob DJ himself has managed to achieve just that in my view.

In a way it doesn't really matter too much to me because I never listen to it anyway, but I honestly think it's a god awful feature that should have been axed a long time ago.

What would you like us to bring back?

One of Dave's classic bizarre games like 'Frog or Dog', 'Battle Nips', or even 'King of Tickets', which was brilliantly terrible.

We have an OB in 3 days after we come back - where would you like it to be (except where you live!)

It won't make any difference to me where it is, so have it wherever you want to.

Aimee

Oh Aled can you please make sure the Listen Again people know that your moving to 6.30am soon.

Your show having been at 7.00am since january doesnt seem to have filtered down to them, and even so sometimes they manage to miss chunks of the show (im sure they have good reasons, but the BBC are supposed to be the best and most respected, this isnt ITV radio :P)

oh and do you really think it was such a good idea giving Chris a week of lie ins before moving the show to 6.30am lol

just an idea i had during a very long and boring root canal treatment lol :)
