As many of you requested it, and because it was bugging me before the launch, I've been rewriting the css for the site to make the central content box widen to match the screen size, and to fix a couple of other bugs (that were probably unnoticed anyway). I will be making the switch within the next couple of hours, so if you do notice any oddities within the site I'd be grateful if you'd post what they are here so that I can fix them ASAP.
For those of you that can read and understand CSS, yes, there is a fairly major hack to get this to work, and yes it was the only way I could do it; I'm not proud of it, but I had no choice.
I havent noticed any bugs, but I will congratulate of doing what sounded like a complicated task so well done :)
one suggestion because I'm annoying - the quick reply box is smaller than its frame, could that be changed? :)

Console, you are a little genius! Just keep beavering away at your desk and we'll just watch in awe as the world changes around us! xxx
See on the blog pages, the text goes way off the side, so you need to use a scroll bar at the bottom to slide back and forth to read it. Im picky, but its quite annoying!

aaahhh my shoutbox is jumping again like it did on day 1 :(
Im on IE and its 1024 x 768.
Its a widescreen monitor, not sure if that helps in anyway at all...

Unfortunately, that's nothing to do with the layout; I don't actually know why it's doing it, I've been over all of the code and there's nothing in there that should be causing the jumping.

I've just checked it on IE6 with resolution 1024x768 and I can't see a problem; can you clear your cache and send me a screenshot (or two) of the problem.

What looks a bit squashed? The central content part?
The photos carousel needs resizing I believe :)

yeh me too i guess. how weird that there's nothing that seems to be causing it.

Ok, for those of you that are using IE and where experiencing problems with the blogs (and possibly the comments on the photos section), I think I've fixed them all, although I have only been able to test up to IE v6 (SP2), so if you're in IE7 and you still experience problems I'd be grateful if you'd post some screenshots that display the problems so I can see about fixing them.

WIN!
IE doesn't even read CSS properly *kicks it*
The site looks neat :D
EDIT:
I'm on a school computer which only has IE. I attached a printscreen of how the text field and smileys seem to be overlapping.

What resolution monitor do you have postie? On a 1024x768 monitor (or above) the content box should be bigger than it was before.

Okay, well, for a temporary fix, you can up that to 1024x768 (if your monitor and video card can take it), but I think we will have to work on a new layout, one that works for the smaller screen resolutions.
