I would go, but unfortunately can't get off work.
I don't think most people (whether they're celebrities or not) lead interesting enough lives to write one book about themselves, let alone two. I bought Chris' first book about two months ago, with some book tokens I needed to use up. I'm an avid reader and will finish a book in a day or less if I find it really good, or within a week at the most.
However all I've managed to read of this book are the bits about Dave and Aled, the rest of it is still unread as it lies gathering dust on a bookshelf. I just couldn't get past the annoyance factors of the huge numbers, big writing, and overly simplistic tone.
Somehow I can't see myself running out to the shops to buy this new installment. I am a fan of Chris and his show, but I think he should stick to what he's good at and leave writing books to the professional authors.

Two things wrong with that.
1) Surely anyone that has a book pubished is a professional author.
2) Even if #1 isn't the case that would mean there would be no autobiography's at all other than those written by people that just write books for a living.
Fair point. Change 'professional authors' to 'people who actually have something interesting to write about and can write well (or get someone else to write it well for them)'.

I think the popular opinion is that Chris does have interesting things to write about (at least his Bank balance appears to reflect that), and I'd sooner see a short book than a longer one that's just been stretched out to fill pages. I also like that it's not Ghost written, feels more legit that way.
Each to their own though.

Lots of people may have bought it, as I did, but who's to say how many of them actually read the book? It might be gathering dust on many a bookshelf. As disappointed as I was with Chris' book I do have to say his sounds far better than Charlotte Church's (who is now on her second autobiography at the age of 21) does.
I read the Sunday Times review of it last week, and apparently there's a whole paragraph devoted to listing out what she used to have in her school lunchbox (I don't want to give the plot away, but Wagon Wheels were involved). Now that's a book that screams out 'value for money' to me.

I bought the Book of Amazon. Great read! Amongst my Uni textbooks, its the only other book i have... I;m gonna get the rest when i go back this weekend!
Bit odd that the guarentted delivery date is earlier than the release date

Oh and the windows that pop open for attachments and extra smilies looks very wrong - its a small size but taken up by borders until window resized - using firefox on vista :)
I said that. Maybe the dates wrong... Or chris got the date wring.. or they got a deal..

I bought the book and took it on holiday with me. I thought it was actually a great read and a great insight into another world of Moyles. I like to have a 'behind the scenes' look at the life of moyles. Can't wait for the 2nd, i am intrigued though as to what he will fill it with!
weird, maybe it defaults on that. i don't know. oh i meant to check in borders today if they still had it on their shelves but i forgot.

I can't believe you! I really wanted to know what Charlotte used to eat...
Actually i wouldn't mind reading her book..

Holy Crap, I've finished it already! I've never read a book in a day, but that was just the easist read ever. It was great too. I feel like I've just read a transcript of a show minus the music. Great stuff!

I've found from lisening to it that the audio is just like lisening to it on the radio. Its quite nice hearing his incantations with it and he will occasionly comment about it being an audio and not the book which can be quite interesting, I'm thinking of buying the actual book as well so that i can compare and contrast. Its quite nice as its the whole book and not just a condensed version of it. I found myself forgetting it wasn't on the radio but that may just be me.,

I found his 1st book tough going, and yes i can read. It just did not hold my interest. But in saying that I have just ordered the 2nd one from Amazon.
I may read it then send it back for a refund and say it was a present I already had :icon_lol:

My copy finally made it here from play.com - they need to give him a higher word count rather than just double space it :( already like 70 pages in after 2 trips to the bog :o
My mother presented me with this book as a present yesterday. I smiled and thanked her for it, assuring her that I had been dying to read it. In reality I knew after a quick flick through that it will soon be languishing un-read on a shelf alongside the first one. But some of the pictures are quite nice.
