View Full Version : X Factor
How good is this series!
Is it me, or out of all the XFactor series this one just seems to have found it's stride, I'm really enjoying this one so much more than previous ones.
Danni also seems to be working on the show - which I didn't expect.
i watch it as well i i do love this one more than the others thos ive missed a few of them but i can always watch the xtra stuff or c the ones i missed thnkas to being able to record them now that was the one thing i had set to record all but i love it i find it funny the poeple who think there good but when they sing they sound rubbish not that i can sing much better but hey nvr hurts to try one the show sharron and simon would be my fav judeges

i cant believe the audition are nearly over! thats the best bit! lol i love the x factor although some people on there who are bad, are so delusional they annoy me but i suppose it is funny when they say 'you watch im gonna have number one record etc' yeah yeah whatever haha.
Anyone see it last night when sharon walked into that door? must have hurt but it was sooo funny!
I wonder if a group will win this year as the past 3 winners have been solo performers?

I've not been watching it to be honest and i like watching the auditions cause they are the funniest
Ugh, get that Dannii off the show, i can think of far more entertaining and knowledgable people to be on it than her.
This show seems to be too dedicated on the really really bad ones, which is funny for the first while, but it gets tiring. Maybe once in a while we do want to see some decent people.
Its good, obviously, i wouldnt watch it every week if it wasnt, but i dont think its any better than the previous ones. I think Dermot O'Leary makes a big big difference though.
It'll be interesting to see how the new categories work.
he does add a diffent approach toward the people

I do love the audition part of the show, it has really cracked me up this year. I think the new age level will really open it up too as there have been some really good acts put through. It's just a shame that many of the acts are really talented and yet wouldn't be given the opportunity to sing if it wasn't for the show and yet after winning the show the acts kind of disappear and don't do so well :(

i went along to the x factor o support a buddy there and we got friendly with the woman who was shown this week, the jockey.
i felt really bad when i saw the judges laughing at her on the telly.
but saying that i am the kind of person who watches the auditions and the final 3 episodes
i cant be the only one though
I'm loving this series - hated brian, loved that they got louis back. havent seen too many groups in the auditions which is odd though so it'll be confusing to see them in boot camp. I'm not liking danii at all! - she annoys me when she starts off the whole 'lets vote' thing because I dont think she's earnt that right yet, the others are much more qualified and experienced than her in my opinion. I hate Dermot too, he seems only to be seen on the 'Hello and welcome to britains largest next talent search show' thing and heard after and before breaks, oh and not forgetting the whole 'the day has been going bad so far and simon is about to give up, but this next person is hoping they can change all that, Jesus from the pacific ocean has lived his whole life wondering why no one ever talked to him, and why they cannot see him for who he is, he's hoping that the xfactor will change his whole life....' hoping he'll do better on live shows :)

Comparing her to whitney?! Nooooo!
I don't think she is all that to be honest, she is pretty and can sing but i don't think she has it in her to be a star. As Moyles said on the show today, she has no sex appeal, no grace. The song doesn't really show off the voice she has, it is just a cheesy power ballad which has people thinking they have just heard a powerful song. 2nd listen on Scotts show today and i disliked it more than i did the 1st listen. It's a yawner of a song unfortunately.
Rhydian. RHYDIAN. Excuse me, but what a w*nker. What kind of name is Rhydian anyway?! He probably has enough money to fund his own record deal, ugh. He's really slimy and arrogant.
Perhaps the weekend was just a particularly emotional time for me (although doubtful!) but i cried TWICE at x factor... and i dont cry at things! Oh it was awful. I felt weak.

me too!! especially when sharon was telling the girls and danni was telling the younger guys, i got really teary :icon_cry: lol
The X-Factor doesn't make me cry, it makes me want to throw things at the television. It's always been apparent that the producers bend the truth quite a lot when putting the show together in order to make good/better 'stories', and in many respects that's fair enough. It's a tv show and that's the way things are done, so I can deal with it without having an issue up to a point.
But it's gone too far in this series, now it's become ridiculously over the top and melodramatic. For example during the auditions stages I saw some guy on it who had been raised by a single mother, as were millions of others. So why make a point of that fact and somehow make out that because of it he had more riding on getting through than other people, because it would mean a 'better life for him and his mother'. I couldn't follow the logic there at all, it made no sense to me.
I also can't stand the way they (like a growing number of shows these days) preview what's coming up before an advert break, and then recap on what happened before the break when the break is over. The makers appear to think that all of their viewers are either brain dead or have the memory of a goldfish with ADHD.
I watched the Stephen Fry documentary about HIV tonight. On it was a father who had contracted the disease through no fault of his own, and who was watching his little kids playing on the swings and talking about how as he watches them he always wonders whether he'll be there to see them for much longer. Now there was a show that was really worth shedding a tear or two over.

Kate i couldn't agree with you more that's exactly what I've been thinking about this kind of TV lately
reality programmes are getting really worn out now even the people that win lose the fame so quickly that they are almost forgotten in weeks infact I've almost forgotten who was this years winner of big brother and the x factor is going that way too
new ideas please Saturday TV is a load of rubbish now i remember that to get a slot on prime time on a sat was the ultimate goal in TV but now its just filled with reality TV rubbish

It's not my words that she is gonna be the next whitney or mariah it was said by the 3 stooges last year !! I didn't think she was either. The more i hear her new single the more i hate the wobble in her voice. Chris's comment about her are right though.

Initially I wasn't sure what the point of Rhydian was, but that's all changed. Saturday's performance of 'Somewhere' gave me goosebumps and had me sobbing by the end. What a performer!
And how sweet is Leon?! What a mature performance of a love song for such a young fella. He should be in a story about Frank Sinatra.
I think the decision was right, although I like Bev very much, she's not consistent and I didn't feel her performance at all this week.
Niki was fabulous on Sat, but she is also not consistent.
Same Difference should be in the West End, not on this show. They're sweet, talented and oh so excitable, but they're annoying me now.
Give Hope some support though eh, they're better than they're being given credit for. If Simon chooses a good group song and stops leaning on Phoebe to carry them they'll do better.
Thus ends the judging from the Republic of Jayne.
Except to say All Hail The Mighty O'Leary!!! I don't miss Kate at all, even though I'm sorry she was sacked.

Rhydian has made this series, despite being made to do some pretty stupid things, the problem is there's one person who's clearly head and shoulders above everyone else with him which makes it kind of pointless.
Win or lose it's pretty obvious where the talent is this year.
some good singers on the show i like hope and a few others but i cant spell there names and i dont want anymore bad rep for spelling but the shows been gr8 cant belives its almost over

I feel so out of the loop with modern society if they consider this years X-Factor good. I've found it the worst of the entire run. Only one person has stood out as having any major value musically and he comes off as too much of a t**t to root for. I just can't grab any excitement from this series.
Bring on American Idol, I say.
todays show was amazing i cired at same diffence song never had a dream come ture ive always loved that song and i can related to it and yes its always made me cry
yes im sad ill go hide under a rock now
(edit) and so we say goodbye to nikcy awwww shes was one of my favs

Please let Rydian win. I like leon but he currently lacks self confidence, which really shows in his performance and when he gets his critique. Same Difference are fun but I'm not sure about there longevity.
I've been watching the x factor all the way through but not commented in here so I will do so now, I have agree'd with most of the choices this series and hope either same difference or rhydian win, not too fussed on the other one but I find same difference highly entertaining and think rhydian has a great voice, either way I think they will do well.
Oh and I believe they are doing the Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey - When you believe song as the single, its a nice song (Youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OGRgm9ZHG3A)) and I think it'll suit the twins as its a duet but also rhydian as its rather operatic in parts

OMG!! i can not believe that it was Niki that went this weekend! i love Leon and Niki neither of them should of been in the bottom two!

The wrong person won, and for the simple reason that the producers showed a VT with him crying in it towards the end.
Reminds me why I hate that show sometimes.

The right person won he came from nothing to get there not like plastic ken who had opera training
But Rhydian was a better singer in my opinion and I saw him smile more than I did Leon, although I would have liked to see same differenece win even though they are a gimmick and probably wouldnt release too many albums. Rhydian will probably get an album deal anyway, same difference might get a theatre production of some sort and leon will go down the route of other x factor winners :)

My God... I heard the winner of X Factor on Chris's show this morning... Now was that singing ? And what were the other 'singer's' like. It sounded more like the audition's to me.
