God, talk about desperate!! When I got tickets to Moyles' karoke night last Autumn, Aled was literally 6 feet away from me, and I simply refused to even call out!!
!! DJs probably get soooo bored with females falling at their feet/desperate to stand beside them, and declare undying love/devotion/God knows-what-else.
Anyhow, I had a good weekend. I visited a nature centre along the coast. I was really worried when I set out that it was gonna absolutely pour, but all turned out well, and I was totally energised when I got home!! I walked, ran, climbed hills for 3 hours.

what made me happy today was this
you were my first love the earth moving under me bedroom scent, beauty ardent distant shiver heaven sent i'm the snow on your lips the freezing taste, the silvery sip i'm the breath on your hair the endless nightmare devils lair only so many times i can say i long for you the lily among thorns the prey among wolves some day i will feed a snake drink her venom, stay awake

F*** off, asshole.
F*** off, asshole.
who?
anyway what made me smile today was reading to poems to my mates and them thinking that i wrote them i told them i did not and they still liked them and said that i gave a very good reading of them
the poems were called The mask(no idea who wrote it)
and the other is called our deepest Fear by Marianne Williamson
i am thinking about typeing them out and posting them here :) because i think they would be nice and useful for other people to read them and get the meaning and point of them :)

This one?
A mask of plastic happiness often covers her sadness
Her beliefs hidden from most
Afraid of, but willing to face the unknown
Wondering where her place is in this life
She has come close to sharing herself
Never completely revealing anything to anyone
Feelings of invisible chains corner her
When she dreams, reality shatters before her very eyes
Accomplishments she strives for just at hands grasp
She feels lost sometimes, not yet finding her notch in this world
At times the glimmer in her calm eyes slowly disappears
But within her heart a silent flame burns her inside and out
She roams day by day, playing roles
Strength unknowingly resides in her
History repeats itself once again
The translucent veil she so proudly wears
Little by little answers will come, pushing it aside
One day there will be no more mask for her to wear
One day her beliefs will be known
One day she'll know her place in this life
One day she will share herself
ONE DAY this mask will be NO MORE
nope thats not the one yud but i do like that one :) shall i keep you guessing lol?

Don't worry - if its in a similar vein to that one, I won't be all that interested! I think its great that people want to write about their feelings and experiences, but I completely disagree with the idea that what they are (mostly) saying is in any way profound, or unique to them. For instance, that poem I posted - I'm sure the girl who wrote it was being very honest and I imagine that getting her experiences down on paper probably helped her in some way - but in reality, she has only described what I believe pretty much EVERYONE experiences and feels to a greater or lesser extent. There's nothing particularly unusual or singular about what she has written - I've felt like that, I bet you have - I bet nearly everyone has. I don't like the idea that she seems to be trying to set herself apart in some way by presenting her situation as somehow singular or different - she's no different to any of the rest of us but she seems to be trying to say that she thinks she is.
I reckon there's better stuff out there than that - come on bbb, post some!

I've got the PERFECT lyrics for you, BBB!! I think it's from a Sophie Ellis Bextor number:
"you drive me crazy, up the wall, you think you're such a know-it-all" - who needs profound stuff, when you get to the point in approximately 15 words!! Woo!!
What does BBB stand for anyway?! Is it Big Bonkers Bastard?!!
VivAyrshire
22-07-2010, 09:15 AM
Bah!! I found the lyrics on-line!! check these!! These were written for you, BBB:-
Go, go, go, go, go
I'll get over you
You drive me crazy, up the wall
Think you're Mr Know-it-all
Go, go, go, go, go
I'll get over you
You drive me crazy, up the wall
Goodbye Mr Know-it-all
Eye-eye-eye-ah
Eye-eye-eye-ah
Eye-eye-eye-ah
I let you have your say
You never compromised
Complaining everyday
About everything in sight
I've let you stay a while
Now I am getting bored
No substance in your style
And you're not the man
You thought that you were
You had me taken in
But now I've found you out
And I won't go through that again
You've always had to win
You'll have to go without
You don't know where to stop
I believe pretty much EVERYONE experiences
the one im on about is one everyone can relate to more so than the one you just posted
i will post the last bit of it here
"who am I?
you may wonder
I am somone you know very very well I am every man and woman you meet I am.......... YOU!
if you would like to hear more i cxan type the whole think out and spell check loads of times or i could just link you to a vid with both poems in it
I reckon there's better stuff out there than that - come on bbb, post some!
well there is but what i like most people wont like or wont get lol like the thing about nlp i posted well maybe thats to do with the way i posted it wasnt that good

I HAVE a life, which is exactly my point!! :hclap: That's why I'm not desperate to fall at some 'celeb's' feet!! You're a silly cow, and I shall tell you so!!!!!
Today, I am off running along the coast, with mountain scenery, then to a garden centre...... o, and, of course, the cafe to stuff my face with homemade cakes!! Woo!!
Aimee
24-07-2010, 02:02 PM
You dont even know me so dont call me a silly cow, im not the one who gets banned from forums. So to all the people on here that have met Aled your calling them desperate? Just for saying hi to another human being???
VivAyrshire
24-07-2010, 02:11 PM
Yes, but I also get forgiven and get back!! :-)
I am just saying there is a difference between saying "hi" and drooling all over someone. Mind you, some of the UMs have done plenty as well!!
I'm pretty much betting you won't stop at a simple "hi".
I just don't do going up to celebs!! I've had 2 occasions where I could have spoken to Aled, and simply wouldn't do it. Here's my pic of him, btw. See how close?! And I refused to shout out, despite being egged on to do so!!

Aimee

God all i want to do is say hi to him, yes if i were meeting someone like Jared Padalecki i would be drooling (no offence Aled). And now your bashing my smile??? Whats wrong with it....too cheery?? and what do you mean i wont be stopping at a simple hi what kind of person do you think i am??? How can you bash people you dont even know, you seem to me like your a very sad woman who has nothing else to do than stir and cause problems on forums filled with happy nice people.
Anyway thanks postie :)
Still looking forward to meeting Aled in Lincoln in a few weeks and having a good night with my friends.

I kind of know where Viv is coming from, the sort of frenzied adulation that the crowd over on UM demonstrate to that pickled, orange tool is completely laughable for instance. There is something a bit lame about celeb-hunting. But it is a bit different with Aled isn't it? I don't know about you lot, but I kind of feel like I sort of know him anyway, and he might be quite happy to meet any one of us. Certainly people I know from cm.net who have met him have said that's the case, that he was as pleased to meet them as they were to see him.
Still not sure I'd do it though, I reckon I'd be like Viv, taking a photo from a few feet away and letting him get on with it!
Aimee
25-07-2010, 09:41 AM
i sent aled a tweet a while ago saying that i got tickets to go and he said to go and say hi to him, if he hadn't have replied to me i would have gone, enjoyed myself and if he mingled with the crowd after i possibly would say hi. So if someone tells you to say hello im not not going to. Plus it would be nice to meet him after all this time. We must be just different then i dont find it lame at all im sure a lot of people at the event will be saying hi to him and im sure aled doesn't mind as he is a nice guy. *steps down from her soap box* :)

Yes, what I think about certain UMs I won't post on here (incase they read it!!), but Scott quite recently described certain people on his fansite as a bit "weird" (on air!!)... I don't agree with hanging outside the back of the R1 building, but Scott has been very pleasant to people who have done so.
I think Aled seems more approachable somehow than Scott. I like Scott, but he can be that bit more impatient/ more easily bored somehow?! (I think).
I am growing increasingly tired of this "celeb" World, and keeping up with the Joneses. Bring back the 80s, where people/life seemed to make more sense (or is it just nostalgia). hmmm

It's a running joke from UM. Viv was talking about the dating sites that she uses and made an off-hand remark that someone had messaged her to insult her carpet. For some reason, I found this hilarious and it eventually caught on.

yes, small things for small minds!!
The online dating is OVER now anyway, at least with this particular Site anyhow. I couldn't actually take any more bampots, including one who wanted me to cycle knickerless through Falkirk!! Yeah, I don't think so mate.
Anyhow, today I am off to a nature centre (again).... Fresh air and green scenery here we come!! Woo !!

I'm going on holiday today! YAY! :)...
Spending time with my best friend, drinking starbucks and having a look around liverpool. I really like it as a city
Yudster
01-08-2010, 09:29 PM
Doesn't really cut the mustard as a village or hamlet though does it? I wonder how it would fare as a large town? Maybe a tad overqualified. Anyway, I heard that it actually wanted to be a rural Nature Reserve, so I'm sure your approbation for it as a city will go some way to assuaging its inevitable disappointment.

I had a fab night last night at the Lincoln Pride After Party, Aled was so lovely to me and my friend, it was great to actually talk and hang out with him for a while (thanks for that Aled) it was funny as he was going down the line of people at the front saying hello and he got to me and looked then said 'is it aimee?' i was like yeah and he said yay and he gave me a big hug...my friend was like 'omg its Aled...Aled!' hehe :) Great set also (thanks for playing Love Machine) and had a great time :D

Cant stop smiling at the moment lol!
Got every thing set for L.A i leave on Friday for three months also going to New York while im over in the sates and a few other citys as well
and on top of that a bit of old news from the 31st july lol i was at Belfast Pride it was so much fun my 1st pride ever found out that my pic was took then put in a big local paper here The Belfast Telegraph out of all the pics they took they picked mine i was laughing so much i hate getting my pic took and any pic of me oh so why im talking about this now is because i have had a few people come up to me and they were like omg your pic was in the paper so i was like yea and its no big deal then they like it is a big deal that paper is big so that makes you famous .... so i said nope the paper is big but my pic being in it was by chance and it does not mean anything
I find it funny that some people make a big deal over a small pic in a big paper or how fame obssed some people are I dont want to be famous i just want to be me I have met a few famous people at events i atended mostly localy famous people I treated them equally the way i would treat anyone else other than people i look up to
like the time me and Andrew met Aled in Belfast in 2008 i think i was all shy and giddy and nervous I also asked him for his autograph why because i look up to him and respect him and also my memory is not the best so i wanted something to remember that day by even know the whole time we all talked for was like any way
love the pic Aimee your looking good as all ways :) and im very glad you had a good time

Oh, was it you that banned us?
It may seem quite bizarre, but in my mind, I had 'mentally' banned you, long before you physically banned me.
It is, at the end of the day, not my responsibility for the fact you wish to dismiss greatness, innovation and independence of thought, rather than following the crowd, in a desperate attempt to "fit in", as most people on cm.net do. Rather tedious, I always thought.
These days I have mostly harmony on UM around me, which I like - rather than complete erratic fighting, dealing with unhinged, the desperate and the downright ridiculous.
I note there is still some bizarre need to post about me (always good for a laugh), even though I have been gone for some time. I sometimes run a search on my name, and it "throws up" such a lot of tosh for someone you really know nothing about. I find that quite curious, obsessive even?!? I certainly fail to post about any of you. I find it curious the assumptions that are made, especially for a female you do not know... assumptions are made, many of which are often inaccurate. But that's the modern world, where many of us live in a cyber world, dealing with cyber friends, and failing to connect with "real" people. Which reduces us to inane, and time-wasting remarks on Messages Boards. Whoever invented a message board should probably be put in jail and locked up for a very, very long time, such is the negativity that may arise from the very existence of such places.
I view those boards as a guest. It ain't pretty. I have even heard Comedy Dave recently comment on the fact that these Boards go far too far, when basically they really know very little about any member of the Chris Moyles' team. The only person who acknowledges cm.net is Aled - although he appears to change his mind constantly. At one point, he was very pro-UM, next thing he's off to cm.net. At the end of the day, messages boards (when a line gets crossed and people THINK they know things) are a menace. Whilst we are all guilty of "assuming" - even on UM, cm.net goes steps too far.
Which would you choose. Harmony or fighting? I note you have even been superseded by a too-autocratic mod who appears to talk down to everyone. Not good.
Even YOU (despite being practically inhuman) were never THAT bad. #justathought. :-) *
* well, actually you were bad enough, consistently failing to have the courage to speak out, Mr Harris' little lap dog, jumping on command.
It ain't pretty.
I see being on UM as being part of my karma. I needed a more harmonious period in my life, to learn and to grow. Thanx to UM, I have become a better person. Today I may stand upright in the sunshine. A shining beacon in the grass.
You, on the other hand, are "stuck" - stuck in the same place with the same stagnant characters. I pity you, for your lack of ability to grow - like a weed in a river, trying to bloom, but can't........ !!
And, on UM, people don't go crazy because I used double exclamantion marks... In today's crazy world with all the bad things that happen on the news, blah, blah, how dare anyone use double exclamation marks.

You're not responsible for facts, agreed, fact are facts, no-one could be responsible for them. You are however responsible for the nonsense that you portray as facts.
I note there is still some bizarre need to post about me (always good for a laugh), even though I have been gone for some time.
I'm fairly certain I haven't done that.
Whoever invented a message board should probably be put in jail and locked up for a very, very long time, such is the negativity that may arise from the very existence of such places.
Negativity is not a crime.
Which would you choose. Harmony or fighting?
Permanently? Neither - life would be so boring without conflict, but would also not feel complete without resolution. I don't even think one could exist without the other - without good, there is no bad - contrast is how we define things.
I note you have even been [B]superseded by a too-autocratic mod who appears to talk down to everyone.
You mean replace, but that's still not true - I don't go on their as much anymore, so someone else was required to pick up the slack.
despite being practically inhuman
'Practically inhuman', or to put it another way, 'human'.
consistently failing to have the courage to speak out
Wouldn't I need to disagree with something to 'speak out' against it? What did I disagree with that I didn't speak out against, due to lack of courage or otherwise?
Mr Harris' little lap dog, jumping on command.
What commands of his did I follow? As far as I'm aware he's never given any.
You, on the other hand, are "stuck" - stuck in the same place with the same stagnant characters.

I do not post nonsense. I post opinions, which you choose to see as nonsense. What I have to say is NO WORSE than anybody else. You always took the side of other people against me, even during times I WAS correct. And continue to remain correct.
Why is there such a lack of conflict on UM? Well, it's do with more balanced people who don't have some bizarre need to fight at every available oppotunity, frequently over not much of anything.
An audio boo = a sound bite. You can do it on your phone, and then send it in via twitter to the Chris Moyles show, commenting on the show (or whatever). There will be a week of these next week with Moyles, which should be interesting.

Why is there such a lack of conflict on UM?
I don't know, is it full of tedious people who don't have the guts to voice a minority opinion and stand behind it? Only guessing, I don't post and don't read there.
Well, it's do with more balanced people who don't have some bizarre need to fight at every available oppotunity, frequently over not much of anything.
A valid theory, although 'more balanced' does seem like code for 'boring'. Fighting is fun, it's not a happy fun, but it is fun - that's part of the reason people do it. Crafting arguments, watching for traps while trying to create and deploy your own, keeping back strategies to use in your end game - it's like vocal chess.
An audio boo = a sound bite.
Oh, I though it was like an audio version of a 'Rick Roll' - that's a little disappointing actually.

UM can be a little tedious, yes. There does seem to be an almost "unwritten rule" than you can't get into lively discussions.
Your constant need for evidence to back up every fact says more about YOU. I go by gut reaction. You know what they say - 90% of first impressions are remarkably accurate, thus no need for evidence or facts.

Your constant need for evidence to back up every fact says more about YOU.
Yes, my inquisitive, intelligent mind means that I want to know reasons for things - the what, why and how of things. The universe is an incredible thing and I want to know how it all works.
As for what you're referring to, however, I require evidence for things people say because I know that people can be wrong and they can lie. These two possibilities cover a big enough chunk of the possibilities for it to be perfectly rational to require evidence for things. Especially when there are two or more sides to an issue.
You know what they say - 90% of first impressions are remarkably accurate, thus no need for evidence or facts.
People also say that we only use about 10% of our brains, that water isn't blue, and that swallowed gum will take seven years to pass through your digestive system. People used think think that the Earth was flat and the sun went around us. People are wrong quite a lot of the time, which is why evidence is a good thing.
Did they get bored with you on cm.net?
Not that I'm aware of, no - although I haven't asked them (as a whole), so I don't know either way.
Is this why you don't go on much anymore? tired of the bot like person??
No and no (Alice is a good bot).

I did take your side a couple of times, but the reason that I was against you most of the time was because I thought you were wrong.

Which is wrong - that's not an opinion, it's a fact. Opinions are individual , facts are universal.
Fact is a synonym for truth and certainty (like a theorem), opinion is a synonym for assumption and conjecture (like a theory). Theories require overwhelming evidence in their favour to become theorems.
It sounds/reads like you want to redefine the words, and if you do then go right ahead, just don't expect people to understand what you're talking about or agree with your redefinitions when you do.
A person is entitled to opinions without having to justify them all the time with ridiculous amounts of backing-up.

VivAyrshire
29-06-2011, 09:39 AM
Actually, I think I do want to redefine the words..... so you may have a point.
Something things in life simply have no explanation tho'. There's a church in my town which has a poster on it saying: "not all questions may be answered by google" - I totally agree. Some things simply have no logical facts/reason to back them up.
However much someone like you may require facts, there is a higher power that basically is casting facts into the wind!!
What is certain in an uncertain, fragile World where nothing IS certain???? *
* God, I'm good. Except the "fact" that the sun will rise and set and life will go on?? Or will it? What if, as the Bible predicts, this World will end and we will all burn in Hell ? Everything in the bible appears to be coming true these days after all, with all the floods and chaos in different countries....
Even our very climate in Scotland this year. So unusual for the month of June with an ever-present icy wind, no matter how warm the day. Why is that? That's not even normal. Is it the icy hand of an angry God, angry with us all and our stupidity and existence on Planet Earth? How we choose to destroy the Earth, by blasting evil gases into it, at the same time as creating appliances such as "wind farms" - largely useless unless there IS wind. Pretending to be "green" when actually we're not - what we all are is vandals, bent on destruction.
Then we dare to seek facts/evidence to back up our pathetic existence.

Well, it couldn't be any more lifeless than UM at the mo'.
But then the DJ (Scott) is more of a corporate "dick" than Moyles, using "facebook" as a medium for connection between his Show and the listeners, even though facebook went out of fashion back in 2008.
Moyles and Aled are picking up on cm.net on air, hence the hits to the Site, and the Site's ability to thrive. UM is getting no help, and even Jono no longer cares.
So yep, that will make cm.net greater than UM.

Everything connects. Madonna says that. There are no facts really - just a series of supernatural events where everything is somehow connected in the Universe.
There is something bigger than us. A BIG "fact" that we are all missing.
I bet when you die your entire life will wind up being explained to you. And only then will it make any kind of sense.
I have a senseless life at the moment, having to do a lot of stupid things. Yet are they stupid? Or is the "torture" meant to teach me something I do not yet understand?

Something things in life simply have no explanation tho'.[...]Some things simply have no logical facts/reason to back them up.
Like what? Please note that there is a difference between not having an explanation/reason and not knowing the explanation/reason.
However much someone like you may require facts, there is a higher power that basically is casting facts into the wind!
Ignoring for a moment that there isn't a higher power (by which you mean a god, and I'm assuming it's the Christian god at that, although the Christian god isn't involved which most of the stuff you seem to believe, I can't think of any religion that does), why does this power create facts just to throw them away?
What is certain in an uncertain, fragile World where nothing IS certain????
In this world you describe, is the uncertainty certain?
Except the "fact" that the sun will rise and set and life will go on?? Or will it?
It most likely will for the foreseeable future. Eventually, however, the sun will grow into a red giant, probably taking out the first four planets in the solar system, and then shrink to a white-dwarf.
It's a fact that the sun has always risen and set (since the creation of the Earth), it's not a fact that it always will.
What if, as the Bible predicts, this World will end and we will all burn in Hell ?
If The Bible is correct and the rapture comes then Hell's doors will close and no more people will be able to enter. Those in purgatory (which I presume also includes anyone that is actually still alive at this point) will ascend to heaven, not descend to hell.
Everything in the bible appears to be coming true these days after all, with all the floods and chaos in different countries....
Floods and chaos, eh? It is pretty hard to get a prediction wrong when you predict something that happens all of the time.
Even our very climate in Scotland this year. So unusual for the month of June with an ever-present icy wind, no matter how warm the day. Why is that? That's not even normal.
It's not normal, but its does happen. The climate changes, winds blow in different directions carrying different temperatures. That's it really.
How we choose to destroy the Earth, by blasting evil gases into it, at the same time as creating appliances such as "wind farms" - largely useless unless there IS wind. Pretending to be "green" when actually we're not - what we all are is vandals, bent on destruction.
Evil gases? We don't create CO2 because of evil (if such a thing exists), we create it because there's a need for energy and it needs to come from somewhere and unfortunately that has harmful bi-products. We didn't always know they were harmful and now we do we're trying to do something about it.
I do find it funny that you knock humankind for creating these 'evil' gases and then knock us again for trying to do something to reduce them. What should we be doing, Viv?
Then we dare to seek facts/evidence to back up our pathetic existence.
Dare? You may have a pathetic existence, please don't speak for the rest of us.
We don't seek facts/evidence to backup our existence, I'm not even sure what that means. You believe that a god made us, he would need to justify it, not us. Anyway, we look for facts and evidence to explain our existence and the existence of the world around us. It's curiosity, not justification.
There are no facts really - just a series of supernatural events where everything is somehow connected in the Universe.
If there are no facts then surely what you've just written, by it's very nature, isn't a fact. It's like writing 'This is a lie' - it doesn't mean anything.
As for everything being 'just' a series of supernatural events connected to the universe, I agree completely with that statement except for the super- prefix.
Actually, even saying that doesn't mean much. If everything is supernatural, then by definition it isn't supernatural, it is just natural. Of course, you're talking about some combination of ghosts, leprechauns, goblins, gnomes, nymphs, vampires, werewolves, angels, demons, gods, fairies, elves, trolls, psychics, mediums (and smalls), witches, wizards, mermaids, unicorns, gorgons, dragons, genies, sprites and flying spaghetti monsters, none of which are 'natural' (read 'real' (with the possible exception of the last one, Pastafarianism FTW)).
There is something bigger than us. A BIG "fact" that we are all missing.
The Earth is fairly big.
Or is the "torture" meant to teach me something I do not yet understand?
It might teach you something, but I doubt it's meant to teach you anything.
Even the "fact" that you have a patch over your eye in your avatar is ridiculous. Why would anyone do that when they have nothing wrong with their eyes?
It's a pirate reference, although I can see how people would miss it, especially with the space background.
At least my avatar makes sense. It's a view of the Ayrshire countryside.
A reference I had missed as I have never been to Ayrshire and I'm not sure that if I had I could distinguish it from the thousands of other countrysides around the globe.
Not 'getting' something, doesn't make it ridiculous.

My current options are an all-you-can-eat Chinese restaurant, and Indian restaurant or a Fish and Chips restaurant. Read your card, your tea leaves and your crystal ball - which will I choose?
Actually, by the time you respond to this it would probably have already happened, so, if that is the case, what did I choose?
Space background? I thought that was some innovative person throwing a ball at the back of your head !!
Somewhat unsurprising, and very consistently, you were wrong.

I just use basic logic to predict how your life will go.
I will say a fish + chips restaurant, as you have always struck me as quite "fishy" - no doubt though, even if you had been there, you will say the opposite.
I was reading yesterday about the Universe: an article which says the universe expands, gets to a critical point, then collapses back in on itself. By this logic, you should slowly start to go backwards, back to the time when you were applying to be a bot (edit: sorry, MOD), back further, eventually ending in a big ball of nothingness.

A ha ha. Brilliant - very funny. The person who doesn't believe in facts and evidence now claims to use logic? Is this another term you've redefined? Is 'basic logic' a 'magic eight ball'?
I will say a fish + chips restaurant, as you have always struck me as quite "fishy" - no doubt though, even if you had been there, you will say the opposite.
Actually, Saturday was my birthday, and if you knew me (as you claim to, and being able to see the future or not) you'd know that I don't ever do anything special for my birthday - I stayed in.

If the universe were to contract time wouldn't reverse with it; however, a more likely, and certainly more bleak, outcome is that the universe will continue to expand, getting dimmer and colder, and entropy increases until the heat death of the universe occurs. When this happens time still won't reverse, however - your magic eight ball is wrong there.
It's never actually been shown that time is reversible. There's been nothing discovered in the laws of the universe that prohibit it, but that doesn't mean it can happen.
Oh, and generally, you don't apply to be a moderator (or a bot for that matter). Nice try though.

God. Birthday.. Well a belated Happy birthday!! must be at least 100 now. (ha ha)
I think time can be reversible. I was on a train once, and some odd things happened on it. We stopped in the middle of nowhere and odd clanging noises started to happen .... turned out there had been an accident in that area years before.
Also when bad things happen in certain places, it can be held in the atmosphere. Quite convinced of this. There's a road near where I go running that I won't go down, because there is a dead energy of some kind.

A person with imagination can see whatever they want in anything they want - it doesn't make what they see real, they're imagining it.

That's because you believe there's something evil there - it's all in your head, nowhere else.

I can't think of a reason why that'd be the case. You've got it in your head that that road is haunted and so you, being a person that rejects evidence and accepts the first idea that enters her head, accepted it as fact (although you don't believe in them) and imagine you feel something 'creepy' on the road when you go on it, which you've said you don't do.

I have joined a local forum. One person on it walked the road 50 YEARS ago. I repeat, 50 years ago, and has commented on the rather bizarre stillness, despite a golf course with lots of vehicles being nearby. I noticed that too. There is a bypass running through the area, yet all sound is bizarrely muffled, almost as if the area wanted to remain back in time.
I am now physically researching local murders using microfiche to view newspapers from years ago. It will be fascinating if what I find turns out indeed to have happened near this road !!
Thanx for posting the vids tho. Youtube seems to take about 3 hours to get them up there. Just ridiculous.

How far away? How many trees in-between? How many hills? Is it noise reducing tarmac on the bypass?

You really can't see much of anything, 'odd' or otherwise. What is it, exactly, that you think you're seeing?
The first road you can't even get a phone signal on.
Why would a 'haunted road' not be able to get a phone signal anymore that a non-haunted road? Why don't ghosts/devils/whatever not like that small part of the electro-magnetic spectrum. I'd though they'd have like light even less - I'm able to see stuff in the video so the 'ghosts' don't seem to be absorbing up the light particularly well.

It's not obviously anything. It could be that other dogs growl at everyone because the dog has a bad attitude, or was mistreated by people, or it's currently scared and feeling defensive. They are many possible reasons, and I'd said that they're all (without knowing the dogs personal history) equally likely.

People made them up, the same as all other words/terms. Just like people made up dragons, and ghosts, and leprechauns, goblins, gnomes, nymphs, vampires, werewolves, angels, demons, gods, fairies, elves, trolls, psychics, mediums, witches, wizards, mermaids, Mickey Mouse, Snow White, Black Beauty, unicorns, gorgons, genies, sprites and Harry Potter - people imagine things, it doesn't make those imaginings real.

We all perceive the World in different ways.
I may concede that we may interpret different parts of the world/life differently (although more of a blue/aqua difference than a black/white difference), but as you've only ever been you, you have no idea how other people perceive the world.
We all do things when tired and emotional.
Were you always tired and emotional, or are you just trying to excuse your actions?
Do you know I even had that phrase "gutless moderator" in my head. Next thing, you post it!! Now, that is odd.
I'd call it an obvious choice, personally.
Yes, the Universe brings things back to u. Madonna says this as well. Does that make her "nuts".
If she truly believes it and isn't just being poetic, then yes, it does.
What is "nuts" anyway.
'Nuts' is used colloquially to mean insane, stupid and/or a fool.

I am not a fool.
I never said you were, I said that '[the quote I was referring to] tells me that you're nuts', by which I meant insane. Not that 'fool' doesn't apply, but that wasn't my intended meaning.
You are proving, my dismissing my very thoughts, that you perceive the World in a different way to I.
Ignoring that as I'm not so much dismissing your 'very thoughts' as disagreeing with your 'very thoughts', which in no way implies or proves anything about your bizarre claim, you've confused the words 'perceive' and 'interpret'.
Madonna actually means it.
I would ask how you know exactly what she means, but it doesn't make a lot of difference. If she does mean it, then I would consider her 'nuts'.
She often obeys the laws of the Universe.
She doesn't have much of a choice, we all have to obey the laws of the Universe - they're physical laws.
I have to go now, because a dog has just peed all round the cables of my computer.
I should add this to the 'odd' list. Why is there even a dog in the council building?
By the way, relating to the 'gutless' thing, which you brought up again in this thread, have you managed to come up with any examples of me being gutless and only following Harris' orders, or are you still trying to avoid it, too embarrassed or weak to admit that you're incorrect?

a. I always knew the "gutless" thing bothered you. I only ever said it because I was very angry, had once liked you, and felt you always took the side of other people. :-( - I specifically remember posting that following a particularly nasty argument via PM, and I felt compelled to do something. :-(
b. The dog wasn't mine. It belonged to someone else, but as far as I am aware, the dog has now been barred.
c. I would argue you have purposely brought up certain topix in order to make me appear "insane"... it's kind of like what the media do. Bring the worst of stuff up in order to make a person have a certain image...... then, when they are back in favour again, they present them differently. It's cunning, but most people can see through this, if they are logical in any way.
d. If I were "insane" I would currently be in a mental institution, under the mental health act. As it is, I am out walking around (as normal), going out my daily life with my lists to tell me where to go and what to do (perfectly rational, no?)
I would class myself more as a bit "dizzy" and "left of centre" with random flashes of inspiration, logic and creativity. You don't know WHAT may be going on inside my head, or why I may act a certain way, or have a certain thoughts. We are all shaped by the people around us, what happens to us, our circumstances, blah, blah......, whether we are valued or mis-treated all matters..... Just because I'm not a "run of the Mill" kind of gal doesn't make me a lunatic. Oh no, to the contrary, there is a bigger picture to this World, and I am on it.
Just because I like an area of green space in the Universe at weekends does not make me a looney.... indeed, it's away from mundane boring people, up closer to the sky and the clouds. It's good for my soul. And that's not insane.
e. By playing your mind games, you only anger people. I predict you will end your life in a rocking chair with your zimmer and walking sticks and no friends - divorced and doomed to Hell.
f. How do I know my local librarian doesn't like me, if I am not "tuned in".... I have had this impression for ages (the feeling is mutual mind you)....... This morning, I'm in the "kiddies section" (same as any other day). Yet the minute I walked in, it seemed to be a problem... She said, "That's actually the kiddies section", and I'll have to move you if any kids come in. *
* Now kids are in, and I have not been moved. And there are two adults also working in the section whom she said nothing to.
* impressions and thoughts about people can be remarkably accurate. Did you know that 90% of first impressions are said to be bang on the button. I go by gut instinct, and the day I ignore this, will be when I have the most problems.

Aled has posted on cm.net "Wow. When did this page become 'Aled you're responsible for BBC Radio 1 and Radio 1Xtra so answer us now'!? All got a little heavy hasn't it?" - this post fails to surprise me.
Who made it heavy by inviting guests off the forum to London?? Who actively involves the forum so much on Moyles' show??? Yep, Aled.
As I have always suspected, Aled changes his mind about what is OK from one month to the next. Once again, I could have predicted this particular post, or even pre-written it. *

Doesn't bother me - it's actually quite amusing, although for reasons I'm not going to state.
I specifically remember posting that following a particularly nasty argument via PM, and I felt compelled to do something.
I don't, care to remind me? I remember you being abusive in PMs all of the time, I don't remember being abusive to you. Unless you mean intense, in which case you should learn to not get so worked up over someone disagreeing with you.
I would argue you have purposely brought up certain topics in order to make me appear "insane"
I think you'll find, if you read back this conversation, that it's actually you who is always changing the topic, and in no way did I bring the topic 'round to you trying to predict my life or your haunted running road - they were both completely you and out-of-the-blue.
If I were "insane" I would currently be in a mental institution, under the mental health act.
No, if you are insane then you should currently be in a mental institution - you not being in one could just mean that they haven't discovered you yet.
Just because I'm not a "run of the Mill" kind of gal doesn't make me a lunatic.
Does, by definition, make you odd though.
Just because I like an area of green space in the Universe at weekends does not make me a looney.
I never said or implied otherwise.
I predict you will end your life in a rocking chair with your zimmer and walking sticks and no friends - divorced and doomed to Hell.
Didn't you predict I would be killed and left in the gutter a little while back in this thread? So now I'm going to die in a rocking chair. What's next weeks prediction going to be, Viv? Dying from a snake bite?
How do I know my local librarian doesn't like me, if I am not "tuned in".
You don't know, you've guessed. Unless the librarian confirms that they don't like you, you don't know either way. In fact, even if the librarian confirms it they could be lying.
impressions and thoughts about people can be remarkably accurate. Did you know that
Of course they can be - in the same way that the lottery numbers you pick can be remarkably accurate - they're just only remarkably accurate once in a blue-moon.
90% of first impressions are said to be bang on the button.
Doesn't the fact that it's not 100% mean anything to you - it means that they can be wrong, that it's not magic and is based your five actual senses and not your imaginary sixth.
I go by gut instinct, and the day I ignore this, will be when I have the most problems.
Possibly, although that would probably be because you're not used to anything else and if you ignore the only thing you know then of course that would lead to issues.
Once again, I could have predicted this particular post, or even pre-written it. *
* another example of deep intution, or even psychic ability. Knowing things I shouldn't possibly know.
Again, you could have predicted or pre-written the post, you could have pre-written a thousand of them and one of them may have been correct (however unlikely). The fact is, however, that you didn't. Next time you see one of Aled's posts in your head, please post it here, preferably with the time and date that he'll post it and then you may have something to actually show.
I KNOW YOU LIKE ME, EVEN IF YOU TRY TO RESIST OR DENY IT
There's a difference between knowing and wanting.
PPPPS: I wasn't the one who brought up the "gutless" thing. That was you that felt some bizarre (even lunatic) need to do that.
No, it was you, see: -
consistently failing to have the courage to speak out, Mr Harris' little lap dog, jumping on command.
If 'failing to have the courage' doesn't mean 'gutless' then there must be some more words you've redefined in there somewhere.
So, have you come up with any examples yet, or are you still dodging the question?
how have I always known Scott Mills, the R1 DJ, doesn't like me.
Guesswork, pattern recognition. How many other people have you thought disliked you that actually didn't? How many people did you think like you that actually don't?
Evidence for everything is not necessarily always available
Wow, you surprise me. (That was sarcasm, if you can't tell)
How did I know, aged approximately 17 that my life would not be a smooth path, compared with others I went to school with.
You've heavily researched all of your schoolmates lives then, have you?
I predict it will only become smoother when I find what I am looking for.
And if it gets smoother you'll claim you've found what you were looking for, and if it doesn't you'll claim you haven't found it yet. And like magic, you'll be correct - hard to fail really.
BTW, can I have my ability to BLOG back again, because it is gone

c. What is "odd"?? Society gives a person this title if they won't conform to namby pamby rules. If you think outside the box, you are "odd".
d. I don't have "gutless" examples. It was written in anger.
e. I remember telling you how much I cared about you, and you didn't want to know because you thought I was "too old" and "demented". I was up for hours sobbing about that particular PM. Of course you won't remember, because YOU have no feelings, unlike myself. I remember waking up the following morning with two big swollen eyes, which is why I did up a topic the day after that. And I had to talk to Topher about you at the time. And you didn't care. Not a damn. :-(

So you won't tell me why you are amused about me calling you "gutless"... Well, that's you at your best - hiding stuff and desperately trying to remain an enigma.
Or it's something personal that I don't feel like sharing on a public forum? Or it's someone else's secret that they wouldn't want me sharing? Or it involves a lot of back story and would take an age to explain? It's actually none of those reasons, or yours, but they're all possibilities that you missed.
I was "abusive" in PMs cos I felt I could never get throo to you, and wanted your attention.
Does that include the time when you were being abusive towards me when you asked for my help with an avatar, and then I helped you with your avatar? What was it you couldn't get through to me then?
As for getting my attention, being abusive to me in PMs led you to being blocked by me, twice (in fact, you're still blocked now) - I would say that it wasn't a winning strategy.
What is "odd"??
Odd is a synonym for different, unusual or unexpected. So, by you calling yourself 'not a run of the Mill gal', you're saying you're different, which means you're odd.
I don't have "gutless" examples. It was written in anger.
You must be angry a lot.
I remember telling you how much I cared about you, and you didn't want to know because you thought I was "too old" and "demented".
I don't remember giving 'too old' or 'demented' as reasons for 'not wanting to know', in fact, I mostly remember saying that I didn't feel the same way. I recall you pushed me for a reason and one of the ones I gave was that I'm generally attracted to people my own age. Yes, technically, that means I implied you were 'too old' for me, but not quite with the negative connotations you're implying. As for the 'demented' part I don't believe I've ever used that word with you, and I'm fairly certain that I didn't use any word like it during that conversation - in a different conversation, sure, but not that one.
And you didn't care. Not a damn.
No, and I still don't. I played almost no part in your little drama, I see no reason why I should care. I never lead you on and when you claimed to have whatever feelings it was you claimed to have for me I told you I wasn't interested in a reasonably gentle way. Anything beyond that isn't my doing or my fault.

My conversation in this topic, if you care to look back, was about haunted roads, YOU turned it into a personal discussion about stuff from the past which was buried, and resurrected by YOU!
I have looked back, and every single topic jump (not just the one about the haunted road) was made by you - everything else was a evolution of the conversation, directed by no-one in particular. And this may just be about to turn into a meta-conversation.
If you didn't want me to reply to the gutless thing (nonsense) then don't ask about it. You asked, I replied.

Hope you have enjoyed these hols.
Enjoying reading the comments about Matt Fincham on cm.net - agreed, it does look like someone wants to be mentioned on air.
Also increasingly fascinated by Nicola Red's "up-her-own-arseness".... Jesus. Can't believe she has an MA in anything, other than MA Honours Arse. LOL
Today, I wanna go for a run, if the rain stays off !! Need to look at some trees and get some fresh air !!

Got a pretty blue coloured cami top this morning. Despite feeling a bit sick, I am getting throo admin OK, and should finish early. Rock n roll. Then off home.
Sunshine is out too this morning. Get in.
