Yawning's contagious.

True!
Something to do with your brain thinking 'well if he's got his mouth wide open there must be a lack of air or oxygen!, I better get my lump of a body to open his mouth wide open too otherwise we might die!' I think.

While it's true that if you see someone yawning you may, subconsciously, start to yawn yourself, I don't think it has anything to do with your brain 'thinking' that there's a lack of oxygen.

That's actually scientifically proven. It's because when a person yawns in the first place, it's usually because their brain is trying to get more oxygen; it happens either when you're tired or just in rooms with little air.

Unless it was scientifically proven within the last 6-8 months (and I managed to miss it) then it hasn't been scientifically proven. There are theories about it relating to empathic responses or it being used as a P2P method of communicating tiredness throughout a society (to raise awareness of the possible dangers of everyone falling asleep at the same time), but there's nothing even remotely conclusive.

My bad. I'm not an expert, I just read it somewhere. *Bows to greater authority*

Hey, I could be wrong, and could have easily missed it; do you remember where you read it?

No idea at all. I suck at remembering references, it will be my downfall I'm sure.
