View Full Version : Tell us Something We Don't Know
Everyone has a hidden talent, geeky interest or something just generally odd about them that no one knows about.
Go on. Come tell us about it.
I for one, absolutely love maths. Theres something so satisfying about being faced with a mathematical problem, spending maybe hours trying to solve it, and getting it right in the end. I wish id failed maths last year so i could resit, i miss it :(

I don't think I have a hidden talent; I don't really hide anything. My lesser known talents may include juggling, numerous skating tricks and climbing though.

I know exactly what you mean; maths can be so satisfying sometimes, especially when you reach an elegant solution. I get the same feeling from programming; when I'm trying to do something I've never done before and it's difficult and I manage to find a way to do it, it's fantastic.

I don't like clowns.
I don't like people that dress up as animals in the mascot uniforms. The only time I tolerate that is either at Disneyland or Disney World.
In that same vein -- I don't like "Goofy" at either Disneyland or Disney World.
i dont rember my child hood im only 20 and still feel like a big kid as i do act childish but also act mature apprnetly and dont rember much of the past for years only the stuff that i wanted to and some useless info like who won the irish football cup and i dont like football

It's the eye's poking through the tiny holes. Also someone looking through a peephole or keyhole, send shivers all over :119:

i get ocd really bad
Im with Postie.
I have somewhat mild paranoia and OCD, and have a photographic memory.
When i was a child i used to think "if i do this, then this won't happen". I think that's a symptom of OCD, I'm not sure...

its not freaky... its sexy!
I never watch television with other people. Having someone else in the room with me detracts from my enjoyment of a programme, especially if it's a comedy. As a kid, before I was allowed to have my own tv, I used to make my dad leave the sitting room if he laughed aloud during a show because it annoyed me.

i love watching tv with others because i think its nice to share emotions!
I try my best not to do emotions.
I have a mild form of OCD, and cant stop myself saying/typing 'beep beep' into sentences! Its really quite difficult to explain, but if I dont do it I feel frustrated. It happens most of the time on MSN, but has occasionally popped out verbally at the most inappropriate of times... "Can I sit down, I have some bad news to tell you. Unfortunately your son was involved in a fatal collision with a car today and has died. Beep Beep"
I also have a strict toilet wiping regime.
PS: I'm not mad. :104:

i can relate to the toilet wiping :p
I have a tendency to overuse lol on msn - it seems to be a bit of a sentance finisher for me, almost as if its replaced the full stop in my mind.
Not something I normally do at all and I disagree with myself for doing it but I actually said 'pic' in real life refering to a photo on a myspace page - I'm disappointed in myself
i can eat and eat and eat and never gain or lose wight its soo good as then i stuff my face all the time ^_^

My mate is like that, as shameful as it is she likes to 'lol' a lot on msn but has also carried it over into the real world. She will just stand there if something funny is said but actually saying 'lol' instead of laughing when there is no need to say 'lol'. Drives me potty!

Hmm, that's the sort or person that I tend to block on MSN. That and people that overuse smilies.

Same!
I have noticed a worrying tendency to use "XD" all the time of late though. It's worrying me, as I am one of the culprits.
Well, I only use it a bit with people I know, and who don't mind, :p

I do find them useful in getting the tone of the post over, particularly if what's posted can be misconstrued by the tone it can be spoken in.
does that make any sense?:033:

I see what you mean, Sinister, however having recently met an unpleasant person on another forum I will say that he would randomly add smilies at the end of rude comments -- which made one wonder if he was slightly unhinged!!
