From newsreader to kid's tv star? Dominic Byrne doesn't just read the news on the Chris Moyles's Radio 1 breakfast show. "There's lots of banter. We talk about what's going on in our lives and invariably mine involves dramas with my kids - Nappies and going to the Zoo," Byrne says. This has earned him a part in Space Pirates (9.00am CBeebies). "I'm an animated green barnacle, clamped to a pirate spaceship travelling through the galaxy. A bunch of kids set Captain DJ the challenge of finding a new piece of music every week, and my role is providing travel, news, weather and ridiculous jokes. They tell me it's based on The Chris Moyles Show," Says Byrne.
I thought it was a nice little article! :)

Why? I can't see any reason why you would be...

Well as an adult i find live action childrens tv to be rather rubbish, whilst cartoons are still as magical as they were as a child

What about lazy town and Avenue Q, both very different in their own rights, but based around the same idea. puppets and People. Both turned out huge!

Thats a brilliant idea!, I forgot that I might be able to do that, - Its downloading now :D

i just love dom :)
Seconded

edit:
Whilst I dont really want to admit it - it wasnt too bad, Doms got in on a program which may become successful, I'm not sure if it would have been better as an all animation or not. - Best part of it all has got to be the jingles both for the intro of the show and Doms bit :)
