When someone gives you a comment on the User CP with a "grey square" attached, what does this mean? Someone has written me, "Lame ass, yipee", with a grey square attached.
Also seems like a fairly typically pointless comment too. Ironic really, that the person posting that should be calling you "lame ass", don't you think?

I'd like to be able to see who I've given rep to and what I said, in the same way as we see rep that's given to us. This is mainly because I have the most appalling memory and I'm likely to give rep more than once for the same thing, such as a sig or pic that makes me laugh!

Go to your User CP and press your 'Prt Scr' button. Go to your picture editing program (MS Paint?) and go to Edit -> Paste. Save the image as a JPEG. Go to a site like Image Shack (http://imageshack.us/), and register and upload your picture. You'll be given a link to the URL of your image. Copy (highlight the text, right click on it and click on 'copy' on the pop-up context menu) and paste (right click in the message box and click on 'paste' on the pop-up context menu) it here.

Well, I never thought this kind of thing would make me angry, but I really think this time something should be said. What kind of site is this, that breeds the sort of person that in a way encourages someone to kill themselves in their user CP??

Now, don't get me wrong, I've got very thick skin, and things don't offend me too much. I do realise that I've probably offended other people on this site, and for that I apologise. I really am not a nasty person, nor do I think that anyone that actually knows me believes I am, however some people seem to misread my posts - it is difficult to convey sarcasm when you're writing.

However, there is no excuse for one of the comments I received. On posting about some drugs I have been put on, I made a comment 'They may also make me want to self-harm or become suicidal apparently, so keep those sharp knives away from me.......!' - I got negative rep for this and a comment 'here have this knife on me'.

Now, as I said, I have very thick skin, and realise that this is someone trying to be 'funny' - obviously someone I've offended along the way - but I really think people should be careful what they say. There are some people on this forum who aren't like me and may really take offence to some comments. I've had other nasty little quips, but don't particularly want or need to go into that here.

All I wanted to say was please be careful what you say. Just because these comments are anonymous, does not give you the right to be evil and vindictive. Think before you make them. This used to be such a nice place to come to, but I'm beginning to think quite differently about it now.

That's exactly what I was just thinking. It's irresponsible at the very least. I would not have thought this would occur on this site. When I view "who's on-line", I can see guests "viewing conversation". What does this actually mean? Viewing conversation at what point?

At what point? I don't know what that means, but 'Viewing Conversation' is what comes up when a guest (usually a bot) is looking at a visitor message conversation between two people.

Chongster seems to often be stapled to the top of the list without ever actually posting anything - but I always assume its because he has mysterious "other duties" on the boards which keep him up there.

Actually, it's Chongster's lack of posting that gives him such a high position - his reputation points to total posts ratio is quite high. He's only not on the board now because he hasn't posted in a week, which gives a zero multiplier to his score.
