We had your switching ons last Sunday and yesterday. Was great :D Joss Stone! :P She sang one song, pulled a lever; and left. Cheery :)

yeah but i think the idea is its just like peoples lights at work, or home or stuff like that, not towns n stuff...or did i misunderstand? am putting ours up at the endof the week...i lurvvv crimbo lol
Yeah, he's missed the Glasgow boat too. Not that they were planning on coming here, but they went on last week i think.

our home town Christmas lights are embarrassing it consists of one tree with a few light bulbs :santa::012:

i wanted to - hawarden high is like 18.2 miles from liverpool
but id be embarrassed - our 'lights' consist of a microscopic tree, a set of fary lights of which roughly 3 work and a wodden nativity scene from which the virgin mary has been robbed

I live North of the Tyne (the proper North :p) so they never come up this far.

I found it quite funny today when aled had to turn it on from a lampost lol nicking electricity ha ha
I wouldn't say it's a terrible feature, but I did think Dave was spot on in what he said after Aled switched on the first set of lights about realising that they'd overlooked a key fact. That being that the main 'excitement' of a Christmas lights switch on is everyone going 'ooh and aah' as they watch them light up, which obviously you don't see on the radio. So the impact of it as a feature is somewhat lessened I think.
