View Full Version : Christmas Day Show!
Review?
Like? Didn't like?
I only woke up at midday, and was dozing in and out of sleep after that so I don't think I could give it a fair review. The bits I heard were a pantomime I remember hearing before, but which was still good, and a load of Kylie songs. I'll probably Listen Again to the whole show at some stage.

I was busy playing 'Assassins Creed', but I have recorded and will probably listen to it later.

what do you think of that game?
It looks amazing - not much gameplay though?

It's an alright game, but there's a bit too much time spent travelling for my liking, and it's mostly easier to just run past all of the guards than to sneak past them.
Didn't like that the pantomime was back on from a few years back, I'd have put BBC One on if I wanted repeats :p
I'm not much of a fan of pre-records, I much prefer the live element of shows, but had it on for most of the morning whilst busying myself around the house! :)

I heard the Panto too, was not impressed with it and the Kylie part made me turn off.
Will give the beginning a go sometime to see if i missed any good bit's.

The panto was give or take, but the rest sounded enjoyable enough. It's always weird to hear Chris in a more professional "DJ" role, but he does it graciously well.
I've heard it all now. It was ok, but nothing to write home about.

kinda listened as i got on with stuff, lil disapoointed to be honest, rather alot of music and not as much fun as a expected! aww well cant have it all! xx
tbh I didn't listen to the panto - I wasn't a fan of putting the repeat in.
It was as live so we tried to keep the whole live feeling in there even though it was pre-recorded. I liked having Sarah and Matt on and I liked the secret santa as it reinforced some of the character from the team members.
You're going to hate New Year's Day then!

Best not to ask what we think about it then !!!!
The only bit i did hear was the panto. I didnt realise it was a repeat tbh, i hadnt heard it when it was first aired. I didnt feel inclined to listen afterwards.

I for one liked the panto - its pretty funny, and i listened to it when it was first aired as well - i listened to a bit of the show on christmas day, and it did make me laugh, and was a great show. especially as i could wake up late and still have Moyles talk to me... that was good on the schedulers part.
I havent listened to much radio over the christmas period - somebody tell me Greg James wasnt working 6 - 10 christmas day, the poor soul! Although, he is a great DJ and is going on to great things..

I liked Chris's lechery over Sarah (and she did look rather good on the pics on radio 1 ONLINE)
The amount of music was okay, because they werent dull playlist songs, but decent christmasy songs and christmas covers.. no Stanta tho :(
As with all things that try and cram lots of celebrities in (like the final few seasons of Will and Grace) the panto seemed a bit disjointed but was okay.
The presents opening was fun, much better than on the last day when i was left rather disapointed that Chris only got the whole team some calendars.
And i rather enjoyed the secret santa's, especially the first one, i really did think it was Paul O'Grady.
The podcast does the show much more justice. No music or panto, which makes it more enjoyable to listen to.
