I really like Kelly Osbourne but today in her interview, talking about the size and shape's of your body. She said she was completly happy with her body and her size, but then went on to say how she had 1 of her chin's airbrushed out on a photo.
Now I find this very hypercritial of her to say this, as she came over as having double standard's on how people should look like.
If I was an impressional youngster, I would be very confused with what she was saying that was accetable in the way you look. One minute she was saying it was ok to be plump and then the next she is saying she is airbrushed because she does not like the way she is.
Sort yourself out Kelly, no wonder there are so many people with eating disorders.

I don't think it's hypocritical; you can be happy with something but still see flaws. You could be really happy with a draw in a football game, but that doesn't mean you wouldn't want it to be a win if it was possible.
I am enjoying the guest bit very much, funny in some parts, I'm finding her laugh extremely entertaining but in a nice way - its a good laugh, however I can see how some people may find it annoying which is a shame, I cant wait to see the resulting picture though :)

Maybe as I am older than you I see thing's a bit different. I have seen, mainly in young girl's some comment's can lead to body problem's, it does not take much. As Kelly is in the limelight she should be carefull what she say's.
Cannot see how you can compare a football game with an eating disorder ?

It was an analogy, it wasn't meant to be a direct comparison. I still don't think it's hypocritical though. Saying that you're happy with how you look doesn't exclude the idea of improving yourself.
I'm afraid Tamba that I'm going to agree with Console on this one, I think that yes she said that she's happy with her body and then that she had something airbrushed but I think that being happy with your body and wanting it to be made to look even better is something completely different, you can be happy with your body and want to change parts, well I think so anyway. I'm now realising that Consoles analogy was the best way to describe it :)

I agree with Tampa but for different reasons, i did think the whole thing was hypocritical. Kelly coming on to talk about positive body image and then saying that she couldnt look at herself naked in the mirror.
And then the whole team started picking on various bits of each others bodys.. It was a bit uncomfortable at times.
I think everyone's being a little harsh. the point of the campaign is to not kill yourself to achieve perfection as not even the perfect people are perfect.
By saying she can't look at herself in the mirror she's saying she's like the next person who has issues with their body. She's not saying airbrushing is bad - just highlighting that it happens - wouldn't you have things airbrushed if you could?
Surely it's about making yourslef feel good about yourself - which you'll never do if you're trying to look like an image of people that doesn't really exist.
(this is me training for this Sunday btw)
my views are much the same tbh there is a big difffence between being happy with how u look and not
im happy with how i look but if i had a chance in the lime light so to speak i would airbursh parts out saying that doent make me want to be pefect all its saying is when it come to phtos i would chance a few things but then when it came to real life i wouldnt
tbh as well saying that u cant look at ursefl naked in the mirror isnt that new
tbh i think alot of ppl feel the same way i know i do as when i look in a mirror i think how the hell does anyone think im good looing i view mysefl as fat and ugly tho this isnt the case and comparing mysefl to famous ppl is point less as you would only ened up with fasle hope of looking like them
i have to say i did get one thing changed on me and that was my nose but that was for medacil resons as i had no sence of smell and was in constant pain and i could only breath though my mouth so my nose was no use
i had the op done to fix it and yea it changed the shape of my nose but it had to be done chaneing things for reasons like that is fine

wouldn't you have things airbrushed if you could?
No is the simple answer to that one. I don't consider myself the most handsome man on earth by any means, but frankly I'd feel silly if I were to do that/ask for it to be done.
I'm with console, i also like Kelly!

everyone has something they dont like about themselves so i dont blame her for the airbrushing thing
i know when i have photos taken i cringe alot cause i think i dont like them but then others do so really its about confidence in yourself to change that
kelly may not like her chin in certain light and would probably of been her sole reason to airbrush it (no harm really)

I really hate photos of my self - and hate my body in its entirity! If I used the airbrush I wanted on my pics I would have none left!!!!
It makes me unhappy and keep trying to change but its changing both so I feel comfortable but that is brought about by others opinion of what is normal.
People can be far too reliant on the cover and not care what the book (or person) is like inside.
