If at all possible, please could Chris post some pictures of his time in New York! (if it's not too private - thanx).
I think it would be something listeners would be very interested in. I've checked the blogs, and so far, there's nothing there!
:-)

I can't wait. My brother has moved there so perfect excuse to go, although not actually going to be staying with him. We're totally splashing out and staying in a posh hotel right next to Grand Central Station. Expensive, but I'm sure it'll be worth it!

Grand Central Station is stunning. You don't really think of a railway station as being a destination in and of itself, but it really is worth a visit, even if you aren't catching a train!
If you're there at Christmas you absolutely MUST go ice skating in Central Park, that was a highlight for me. It really honestly is just like it looks in the movies!

I was there in July 2004 and remember Grand Central as being incredible - not anything like London Paddington!
Would love to go ice-skating, but sadly have a screwed up knee and have been told that I really shouldn't do it. However, I'm sure there'll be plenty of other things we'll find to do to occupy our time.

Well, Tiffany's is always nice at Christmas - they actually have a queueing - queuing - queing- lining up system just to walk past and look in the window!

None of them looked right. Anyway, I got told off in America for using the "q" word - apparently you have to call them "lines". I tried to explain that means something different - VERY different - in the UK, but no-one was having any!

I'd love to go... I'd love to stand at the top of the Empire State Building.
I think I'd like the neurotic New York lifestyle, although maybe only for so long..
