View Full Version : Moyles In Booze Shocker!!

So.. researchers have been analysing more than 1,000 hours of radio play across 6 stations, including the wonderful R1!! And it seems they found that 73% of comments about alcohol promoted drinking!
An R1 spokesman has said, "We don't agree that our presenters encourage a culture of drinking".
Personally, I think it's PISH, quite frankly. I can listen to comments about Moyles' and other DJ's nights out, and not feel some bizarre need to go boozing! I have a mind of my own. As do many other listeners. Don't insult us.

it's OK. Rest assured I'll think up yet more topics for another day - lol.
What part of this research points out Moyles as being the culprit? - they analysed more than 1000 hours, across 6 stations? - how in that have they identified Chris as being the shocker of booze that you say he is? - I'd class that as slander Viv.
That said, I couldnt give a fmeck if theres a lot of talk on the radio promoting drinking, I listen to it and have managed not to become an alcoholic - and I'm pretty sure the majority of other people have also.
and to finish - if you think its Pish - why are you letting us know about it?! surely it should just fly straight past and not occur to you to make a thread if you don't agree with it or find it rubbish?

lol someone with no rep power told me to leave viv alone hahaha.
They needed a high profile name to get the report into the papers so they used Chris' name despite the fact that the 3.5 hour show they listened to - their evidence came from just 75 seconds of alcohol related chat with Gordon Ramsay.
Own goal producing the report on our final day of our Alcohol campaign where alcohol has been highlighted as a source of so many problems for me over the last 3 weeks. Hardly irresponsible!
