Who are all those random people in there now? And isn't there supposed to be sound, the disclaimer warns of bad language!
postie
30-09-2008, 02:52 PM
the only sound is the radio live feed but i think it means if any rude gestures if that happens lol
All i can hear is radio 1 for a while, then there's no sound at all.

This is a great idea. Just goes to show what an innovative bunch the people at radio 1 are. Probably cost a fraction of what it did to send Moyles team off on a jolly to L.A and so far seems like money much better spent.

how funny was it this morning with the planted phones in his bedroom lol bless he was a pretty good sport about it, not sure i coulda been so understanding being woken like that!!
What should we do with two days left - any thoughts? We have a few things up our sleeves :) :) :)

i like Jame's idea :)
my idea would be a jeremy beadle type of prank like an early morning drug bust into scotts bedroom
or change all the clocks in his flat so he wakes up really early thinking he has to be on
What should we do with two days left - any thoughts? We have a few things up our sleeves :) :) :)
Leave him alone, so that we don't have to hear the boring feature on the show would be my suggestion.

Has Scott got an ego?
Yudster
01-10-2008, 06:22 PM
So I'm told.
Kate's suggestion is a good one too.
To be honest, i'm surprised this hasn't been done years ago? I take its the child of becky cam?
When does this feature finish again?
Has Scott got an ego?
I don't think he has really.

Yep i think that would be funny. Or setup some speaker in his room and blast him at 6.30 am with the cheesy song or something like that.
water bomb him to wake him up evil but it can be funny:p
or start playing odd music every so ofen maybe even classical stuff
only 2 things i can think of at the mo

God! Since when did we become chrismoyles.net!?
I know it's easier to highlight things you may not be liking than it is to be creative and suggest entertaining ideas but make an effort!
If I wanted a series of lazy "can't be bothered" responses then I would have asked a slightly different question. For the rest of us, with one day left any others?
We have our plan so I'm not being lazy - but if there's a better idea out there that we haven't thought of - you never know!

God! Since when did we become chrismoyles.net!?
That's hilarious - in your DREAMS!
Aled, why don't you take the twins round to see him tomorrow? He will be feeling completely rubbish by then, and could probably do with some cheering up!
Alternatively, a friend of mine just suggested releasing a tiger into his flat. Now THAT would be funny.
He'd LOVE a wake up from the twins :)

I like the water bomb idea! Release 100 rabbits in to his bedroom Father Ted style (although he doesn't have to wake up with the bishop?????)

Oh he'll love it. Purple is his colour.
God! Since when did we become chrismoyles.net!?
What gives you that impression? We haven't - we're still aled.info?
I think you're wrong to compare this place with chrismoyles.net - that forum has a completely different set of people, has been around much longer than aled.info and isn't as er, as nice
I think its good to have a balance view on here, otherwise we'll appear to be looking through rose tinted glasses.
I know it's easier to highlight things you may not be liking than it is to be creative and suggest entertaining ideas but make an effort!
I'm sure Kate is able to make an effort - but I thought we had accepted her as a bit of cynical member, who is not as easy to please? (Kate don't take this the wrong way)
Think of the show as a bit like a supermarket and Scott at the till. The first thing you're going to do when you get home is write to the manager?
Features are like supermarket products, if they're marketed too much - we start to get tired of them.
I think Kate is entitled to her views, with minimal effort.
I get the feeling the show (including the one Aled produces) doesn't like negative comments. I think partly the reason to this is because how much blood sweat and tears goes into each feature.
It must be a little dishearting to read comments but its hard to please everyone or get a creative effort driven idea / comment.

.........I think its good to have a balance view on here, otherwise we'll appear to be looking through rose tinted glasses.......
Which seems to be whats wanted much of the time - which is a shame, because like it or lump it, Kate and I (and many many others) are just as much your audience as the people who do think this kind of stuff is entertaining.
I am totally happy to accept that not everything that goes in to the Moyles show is going to be to my taste, but that really doesn't matter, the general tone of the show is still miles ahead of anything else thats out there and I'll put up with a certain amount of this type of Mills Show rubbish if I have to - but why should I pretend to find it worthwhile if I don't? And if my comments are only welcome if I want to pour unreserved love over everything, well, thats the Rose Tinted land Adam was talking about I think.
What I love about the Moyles show is its spontaneity and its ability to be self sustaining within itself - you really never know where a link might end up heading, and its often funny. The Scottcam thing by contrast is very contrived, very "set-up" - surely its not a surprise to you to find that a number of people who enjoy the Moyles show, with its total lack of anything contrived or scripted, will find the whole thing a bit dull and pointless?

if im right aled was asking for suggestions for what they could do on scottcam not to see silly comments on it
anyway so far its been funny and i think the last day should not be the attempt to wake him up in some way but to surprise him when he goes downstairs
maybe have a mass crowd of people having a party but have a bouncer on the door asking for his id or something
Justin timberlake's stripping right now, im loving scott cam hehe.
God! Since when did we become chrismoyles.net!?
Would be such a bad thing to be more like them? They seem to speak their minds and highlight areas of the show they don't like as much (and some would say more) as those they do like. Where as on this site people tend to gush a bit more about the show and not criticise it very much. And as Adam has mentioned, I don't think that always seeing everything through rose-tinted glasses is necessarily the best or healthiest thing to do.
I know it's easier to highlight things you may not be liking than it is to be creative and suggest entertaining ideas but make an effort!
The problem there is that I can't see anything creative or entertaining about the whole Scott cam feature, so therefore it would be rather difficult for me to come up with creative or entertaining ideas for it.
If you do have to/want to incorporate other Radio 1 features and shows into yours then couldn't you do so, but keep them in five or ten minute slots (the way you did with Jo Whiley's Live Lounge feature last week) rather than dragging it out throughout the show, which is how this Scott Cam feature seems to have gone.
This would mean that people who were interested in such features would get to hear and enjoy them, and people who don't (such as myself and by sounds of it, Yudster) would only have to turn off for those few minutes and could then enjoy the rest of the show.
If I wanted a series of lazy "can't be bothered" responses then I would have asked a slightly different question.
Out of interest, what question would that have been?
kate you as always raise some good vaild points and questions
im 50/50 with this one as i have likied some of the parts ive seen /heard bear in mind its not that much as i have missed most of this weeks sjow
to add to my two silly ideas you could make scot wet him sefl:p the old finger in galss of water stunt
stuipd yes but like the others they can be funny if not a bit evil or how about the old camping one of tooth pasteing him
or putting tooth paste on one of his hands and get something to tickle his face with and hopefully he will slap the hand witch you put toothpaste on to his face
stuipd /evil and childish yes but so:p

last day today :(
No, don't worry rose tinted glasses aren't what I'm after - I even have a thread inviting comments positive OR negative about the show. It was simply this thread where I'm asking for ideas. Disheartening when a post comes in saying "don't to it" cause you then know the focus will be about whether we should or not rather than ideas!

*looks sideways at angeleyes and sidles carefully out of the room.......*
And as for being "negative" - I am sorry, that isn't how I feel about the show at all - I have no expectation that I will wholeheartedly love everything you all do, so I have no complaints at all. This feature isn't for me, but I certainly haven't hated it and it has had its moments, even in my eyes. And the pictures of the show from the flat this morning are good.

I think its important to never get dishearten over anything - comments are only ever superficial and should never be taken to heart.
Threads never stay on topic and people will voice their thoughts on a feature if they don't like it.
I have to admit, it was sad to see scott switch the cameras off today.
I think the team did well on going down to Scott's house. I didn't listen, but i'm sure it was good?
