The Announcement

Hey everyone.

This is kinda the announcement a few of us have been waiting for me to be able to make for a while!

I have just been offered my first ever Radio 1 presenter contract! This also means I am now a permanent host on Radio 1's Surgery!! When Kelly comes back we will do the show together :)

For those wondering this doesn't change anything regarding the show I most love working on - I will still be one of the producers on The Chris Moyles Show - and will be for as long as Chris and Radio 1's management want me to be :)

Thought you guys should be the first to know!

But how come on the show this morning, after going public with the news yesterday, you referred to yourself as "a stand in presenter" when you were talking about the DJ's photo shoot? Surely it would have been a perfect time to broadcast it to the rest of the world?

Well done Aled! - judging by the fact that they asked you to be a stand in presenter for such a long time whilst Kelly was off its not a big leap to permanent but still pretty big in terms of good news etc. I'll hopefully be tuning in tonight to hear the all new improved surgery with Aled (and Kelly when she can be bothered to turn up ;))
