Hi !

Could anybody out there maybe tell me the original title / artist of the "Aled is here" song?
should be an instrumental hit from the 70ies...
or am I wrong?

THANK YOU

I don't know it's name, but its the Blue Peter theme song, so I guess search for that?

The piece of music is a traditional sea shanty - it's called Barnacle Bill, and is most famous as the theme for Blue Peter. The original composer was someone calle H Ashworth Hope, who I can find out almost nothing about, but the tune has been rearranged many times for Blue Peter, most famously by Mike Oldfield in 1979. I don't know the date of the original composition, sorry.

Not really - if it had been a book question, you'd have been in there with all the tiny details - its just a question of field of expertise. What can I say, I do obscure music!

Yes I do - you arrange an activity that they all like, let them do it, make sure that everyone understands that they are to behave themselves and not be completely mannerless animals, feed them, then let them play some more.

Unfortunately at the party I took Baby Yudster to (where he was the youngest by over a year, and the best behaved by several miles), none of the above actually happened, and if I had been in charge of it at least one of the monsters there would have been removed after less than ten minutes!
