If anyone hasn't heard this brilliant parody yet, go here...

...and get it. If you missed it, it's a parody by Folk Face of Hallujah, and it's just fantastic! Really enjoyed it.

Brilliant parody and amazing performance with Mark Ronson.

However with the current analness of the BBC i was very disappointed in Aled today. He said that the original version of that parody was coming up. I spent a good few hours waiting for Leonard Cohen and was appalled when it wasn't played. :)

As for the Alexandra version, i think its spoiled by the cheesey backing music, with the big dramatics at the end. Alexandra is good enough that she doesnt need that rubbish. And i disagree with Chris, i do think it has that X Factor poison running through it.

The show is not playing Stanta at the moment, so this is a welcome song.

Completely agree - a song like that should never never never be over produced - but of course anything Simon Cowell's minions get their hands on is always massively over-produced. Look at the studio version of Leona's Run - its awful in comparison to the live, unplugged and utterly beautiful version she did in the Live Lounge. If you have a beautiful melody and a wonderful voice, as far as anything else goes, less is more.

Decent parody, but I'm starting to get bored of hearing them now. We've got Lorry Driver (still the best of the lot), the Alesha one (the worst), this new one, plus the Barack song. It's starting to lose the appeal and specialness now that we're becoming inundated with them. I wouldn't even mind so much, but the show hammers them right into the ground with long segments and Rachel crowing some horsecrap about how it's been stuck in her head all day (I genuinely hate that about Rachel, more than anything on the show - she comes across as the most insincere sycophantic plug pusher on radio).

So yeah, meh.

Oh Saturday was a special night.
The X Factor final was so tight.
We ordered take away from the Prince of India.
We had onion barges for the Wife.
And Chicken Korma with Pila Rice.
But it when it came they'd forgotten my Lamb Bhuna.

My Lamb Bhuna.
My Lamb Bhuna.
My Lamb Bhuna.
My Lamb Bhuna.

I looked in the bag again in case it was there all along.
And needn’t of chased the man on the phone about my missing dinner.
He apologised and offered 10 percent off my next delivery.
But it meant I never got to eat my Lamb Bhuna.

My Lamb Bhuna.
My Lamb Bhuna.
My Lamb Bhuna.
My Lamb Bhuna.

The rest of the food was very nice.
I had some korma and half of the rice.
We voted about thirty times for Alexandra.
JLS will do okay and Eoghan Quigg will no doubt say.
That when he grows up he’ll become a famous Crooner.

My Lamb Bhuna.
My Lamb Bhuna.
Should of come sooner.
My Lamb Bhuna.
My Lamb Bhuna.
My Lamb Bhuna.
My Lamb Bhuna.

I've just listened to a profile of Simon Cowell on Radio 4 (don't ask), and I think they summed up his attitude towards music up very well at the end of the show by playing a small piece of the song Hallelujah; 'But you don't really care for music do you?'. Although I do like Simon, I also think that is very true of him.

When I first heard it I thought it was fantastic and it hasn't changed! - One of their best parodies to date I'd say.
The live lounge version was even better as well - with Marks band kicking in as well, fantastic stuff!
