Good luck everyone...

This weekend the Surgery will be about relationships - with a focus on forbidden love, with a good dose of coming out thrown in there for good measure.

Find out how bitter a dumped man can be with a list of callers who are in love, this Sunday from 10pm on Radio 1!

I may listen to join in your bitterness. I never got over my lying ex who dumped me to come out as a lesbian and then ended up doing stuff with some of my ex-friends (all male).

I swear, if I ever become famous and get a show on the radio, I am going to bury her (as in make her look bad, not physically dump her into the ground). Ugh, stupid bint.

Ok, done: Nothing to see here. Go about your daily business.

Good luck aled, i wont be able to listen to it live as im at a party but will try catch it on LA. I did have relationship problems a while back - that guy i wa stelling you about but i've finally realised he's not worth it and cut all ties etc, so much better without him lol.

I happened to have watched both of those in the last week, and being single it wasn't depressing but brought a tear to my eye.

I don't understand why there isn't a dedicated Singles Day on Feb 15th where we can rejoice in all the broken relationships that V Day brings, whilst we treat our single selves/selfs (I forget which, so if the Pedantic Language Education Brigade can help me out there...) with chocolates, a movie and some tissues.

Whilst tonight's show will be hard to do, I think to keep one's dignity, we shouldn't be bitter about anything.

Tonight's subject couldn't of come at worse time and I hope Aled is professional enough to handle it, despite what his heart is feeling.

If I was a National Presenter / Producer, I wouldn't use the show as a means to get back as an ex or project my bitterness. I hope infact Aled doesn't mention a thing about his ex. I certainly wouldn't.

It's their loss, but it can't be helped if people's heart isn't there.

Will there be a live chatroom tonight? I want to follow Aled's inevitable emotional breakdown and constant referring to singleness in real time.

Is that even funny?

Yes. If Aled is able to joke about his situation and have other people (gently) tease him about it, as the team did on Friday's show, then I don't think that Mitchell's comment is going to upset him so much that it'll cause an emotional breakdown.

Mitchell

Exactly. Aled was the one joking that it'd be fun to hear a bitter man discussing relationships and I just progressed that notion by suggesting that Aled may actually explode tonight.

As it turns out, and as I expected, Aled is doing fine and sounds like he's having fun as usual.

lol! Thanks guys. I kinda enjoyed the show although to be honest it was quite a shock to have an expert be SO brutal with the advice! :)

No offence taken M1TCH3LL - tbh I'm more offended at Andrew80's "you sounded like your oldself.". How RUDE! ;)

Even Chris said last week "I LOVE single Aled!" - you do sound different to be honest, but that might be because you are conscious that people are listening for signs of distress, and you're being extra careful not to show them!
