Well this is good timing for me (I'm feeling fat at the moment).

This week we have personal trainer Steve Barrett and nutritionist Jacquie Lavin on The Surgery to talk diet and fitness.

Call in if you struggle with this or if you have any questions about this topic.

03700 100 100 or text 81199.

Tonight from 10pm on Radio 1

Well if that's not enough the rest of the Chris Moyles Show team will be creating PLODcasts and putting them on the Radio 1 website! (www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/chrismoyles)

Anyone up for a chat in the chatroom during the surgery tonight 10pm till midnight?

It's not a harrowing subject so I can look in and say hi from time to time. Just post what your reactions are to what you're hearing on the show x

Diet and exercise - try shutting me up! When my first husband died, I put on about six stone and kept it for four years - then got rid through a two year diet and exercise plan. More recently, in the last two years I've had a series of illnesses, some severe, I had to stop going to the gym, running and even swimming. As a result i put on a fair bit of weight again, whch I am now, happy to say, in the process of losing. As far as exercise is concerned, well, I am swimming a lot but that's a means to an end (I find it SO boring), I want to improve my fitness to a level where I can do something more interesting. I particularly want to get back to my boxing class (no fighting, just training!) because that was the most fun and the best thing for fitness i have ever done. Got to take it slow though.
