View Full Version : Aled in a taxi
Aled has been updating twitter the last hour whilst he tries to get to London for his show.
I think he's about to get to the studio (last I read was he was about 1 mile away)
What twitter was made for. Edge of the seat. Haha

It was so funny, probably not for Aled but for us :) I knew he'd get there, i kept telling him to think positive lol, Aled just said it cost him £91-92 so Chongster was right! :)

Aaaah, I win! Take that Andrew, £200, PFFT!
It was a completely brilliant few tweets from Aled! It was like Challenge Anika meets the climax of a rom com.
I did enjoy the Taxi journey updates! - just what this site needs actually, edge of seat stuff, wouldn't fancy that fare though!

It was good, classic internet amusement. Not so much fun for Al I imagine, but it all worked out in the end. And good experience for the Christmas Stress show?!

I was reading a guys posts on twitter to Aled regarding the taxi fare and that he believes Aled was in the studio the whole time and wanted to get publicity but doesn't need it as his ego is big already.....what a douche! He then started following me but i blocked him, how rude can you be.
I though it was funny, you recovered yet Aled? Oh and did you get home in the end? lol
For some reason I only just spotted this thread now! LoL! It was an incredibly stressed night, there was literally no-one in Radio 1 to be able to open the mic and do the link for me but Twitter and the responses I got from everyone (including Heat World and The Guardian) just made me smile so much it REALLY helped!

If someone came in to work one morning saying "i had a really awful nightmare last night" and proceeded to tell the story of that journey, you'd be offering every sympathy and feeling glad it wasn't your dream! You were only about 2 minutes late in the end, though I did wonder when you got time to go to the loo!
I held it in for a further 2 hours!

i didn't see it until after it happened, we'd been driving Scotland to London at the same time - think it cost us much less than Aled's taxi fare :P glad he got there in time, even if he did nearly end up wetting himself - now there's dedication for you!
oh Aled, we did catch a little of the surgery while in the car, and if it's any consolation, it wasn't obvious at all that you were dying for a pee! lmao!
