V Day is just a lot of commercial tosh.. Like Mother's Day, Dads' Day, Easter cards-, etc., etc. - just a way of making romantic fools spend more money, I think.

I don't. I think there are enough day to day occurrences in people's lives to make them feel inadequate and unloved without making an official one. Its just another opportunity to apply value judgements to people based on perceived popularity - the golden ones gloat and simper and the majority feel ugly and overlooked.

And no, I don't hold this view because I was never one of the "golden ones" - I've been fortunate enough to have only had a couple of valentines days in my adult life when I didn't have a loving relationship. I still think its a crock of shit though. Just because it never hurt me doesn't mean its ok.

I dont like valentines day as i dont have a boyfriend :( Its just another day for me, im so glad its on a sunday so i wont have the 'how many cards did you get' chat at work. If i was in a relationship it would be different but im not and haven't been for the past 4 v.days :( lol

Valentines day is just another day for me, no different to any other normal - may change in the future when the prospects of pressies arise but for now I'll ignore it until further notice. (Don't sound like a desperate single person do I? :()

I like valentines day, but for all the wrong reasons. I find it utterly hillarious the way people get when they dont get cards. I have never in my life got a valentines card, ive never really cared much.

It was also hillarious a couple of years ago when my sister got given a huge card and presents that she had to lug around school all day. It was brilliant lol.
