I haven't heard much of the show lately, but what do you think of it at the moment? The Podcasts are outstanding at the moment.

i love the show but i still think that Russell Brand BBC Radio2 podcasts are better - sorry guys. The show is just too funny to condense to one weekly podcast.

I'm liking the amount of guests that are on at the moment. There's usually some good banter between them which makes it more entertaining rather than when there's just Chris and the team. The new features are different but good. I'd loved to appear on birthday corner however my mum dosn't even know about the feature so I knew I'd have no chance this year. Maybe next year but who knows. Tipically i was away for the last 6 weeks of summer but from what I've heard of it, it sounds great.

i downloaded his (Russell) podcasts recently and well carry on doing so - but I often find myself losing interest as it slowly goes into a frenzied amount rubbish and babble.

I'm liking the show at the moment, agree on the guest front but also the features which have been refreshed etc, I like who knows dom because of the jingle and the funny speeding up of the clip I'd like to see the revival of an old game such as viaduct or something

I used to love viaduct in the afternoons - would love to see it back. Don't think they really like reviving old features though unfortunately.

Viaduct, in my opinion, is the best feature they have done! I would love to see that come back for a while.

I havent actually heard a proper game of this, I've heard the bed music and they done a version in a podcast or something but I wasnt a listener when they done it on air

I also didnt mind clasical class too much - it would always be on when I woke up for some reason so I'd like it back :)

i never heard a proper version of viaduct either.
i agree with most people though, loving the show at the moment and the guests have been good. was getting a bit tired of who knows dom but then chris speeded up the 'i know someone' bit so it's not too bad. still like birthday corner [and the jingle] hehe.
[and i've started downloading russell brand. i like his inane ramblings.]

I'd like the podcasts to be longer. I listen to a few from Kerrang Radio and XFM, and they go nearly an hour which is great service. Not that I don't appreciate the amount of Moyles we get, but a little more would be better :001:

As for the show itself, it has it's moments. Sometimes it has had some tremendous comedy and features, such as Aleds own show, Dom's special sauce, etc. But they've also had some rubbish. I'm looking at the "Numa Numa Guy" which came off as a rubbish attempt to connect with the internet fans two years too late. Maybe I'm just too much of a savvy internet geek but it annoys me when things become big, get buried into the ground, and then the mainstream picks up on it when the horse is thoroughly beaten, deceased and rotting into bone. I can let it slide though when the quality is more often-than-not endearing and enjoyable.

Has to be said - I'm beginning to appreciate Dominic more and more for his input towards the show. He is a great comedic figure in a very unorthodox, self-depreciating manner. I really enjoy listening to him and were he able to control his temper a little more (i.e. stop getting angry at the "bald head" jingle which had me rolling with laughter the first time I heard it), I think he'd be the perfect candidate for most under-appreciated yet richly deserving-of-respect member of Radio One.

You're very critical M1TCH3LL but in a constructive way also. That makes it kida a good thing

Ive never heard a proper game of viaduct either. But they played a snippit of a game when Aled made reference to it not that long ago, it may have been on a podcast, not sure.

Well take it from me, it was bloody funny and there were some right dimwits that used to play. Made me feel clever!

I would love to hear a game of Viaduct for real. I do think it would make a great return feature especially if it started off with the team playing it between themselfs while the ban is in place. Because it's so old not manny people will remember it and if you don't mention you've done it before you could pass it off as a new feature (perhaps making it even more popular)

I agree with M1TCH3LL on the Dom part i love his witty comments he makes every so often he is very comical to the point he does not know he is doing it

Nic

haha dom is highly entertaining, only realised in the last year how funny he really is, especially when he makes comments completely deadpan and you're not sure if he meant to be funny or not.

Why were you all so off with the cheerleader from Heros

Riz

Does anyone else get really really hungry in the mornings when they start talking about Dom's gravy? I was particularly starving this morning with Jamie Oliver!

But im afraid "who knows Dom" still frustrates me. Bring back one road travel :( I do love Dom and his quick wit. I want him to be my dad, my dad doesnt crack good dad jokes like he does.

Off with the cheerleader? It wasnt a very memorable interview, but it was quite an enjoyable listen.

I'm going to have to give russell brand a go as everyone is raving about it.

I really love his podcasts. Because his show is just on a saturday, the hour long podcast is like listening to the show but with the songs taken out! It's great and i find him so entertaining. Saying that, i am never in to listen to his actual show (Saturdays 9pm Radio2).

I agree that maybe one of the things lacking in Moyles podcasts are the lack of guests as of late. Dom is hilarious and deserves a weekly podcast of his own!!!

I had a pop for a bit, but it drags on a little bit and i don't have the time. It is good though and work a listen.

It's a shame that the podcasts don't contain much original material. I know it's a "best of" which would indicate a compilation, but more new material would probably boost the download numbers and give us a little something extra each week. Ricky Gervais proved how successful podcasting can be and Danny Baker is doing a grand job of balancing his BBC London show with The All Day Breakfast Show podcast. Just 15/20 minutes of new stuff each week would be belting.

I've never felt that BBC Radio (or radio in general) utilises the internet enough, when there's a large audience here awaiting to be found (it won't find you itself).

I love the show but rarely get to listen so only ever get to hear the podcasts and always feel that they are just too short.
I feel the chris moyles podcast would benefit from being longer, half an hour just isnt much to fit 15 hours worth of show, but maybe thats the idea they are eager for you to listen live to the show.
I get the impression longer podcasts like Russell Brand's are for the people who couldn't listen to the show but the moyles is a best of to encourage you to listen live!
